It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Bertha Zechner, peacefully on February, 12, 2021, at the age of 89. Reunited in Heaven with her loving husband of 67 years Frank Zechner. Beloved mother to Frank (Charlene), John (Lynn) and the late Diana Karas (Chris). Proud Oma to Wayne, Stuart, Courtney (Michael), Scott, Jamie, Shannon (Zack), Katie, and Jack, and Grosse-Oma to Dalia, and Rachel Sarah. Bertha will be lovingly remembered in the hearts of many family and friends. Due to the Covid 19 pandemic, a small private Graveside Service for immediate family members only, will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery (8361 Yonge Str., Thornhill), on Thursday February 18, 2021, with a Burial to follow. A Celebration of Life will take place at a later date. Online condolences and directions may be found at www.catholic-cemeteries.com

Our deepest sympathies to the entire Zechner family. Bertha was a charming, classy woman who lit up a room. We all feel lucky to have been such close friends with both her and Frank. She will be missed. ❤️❤️
All of our love,

Bertha will be in our hearts and memories 4ever. She was special not only to her immediate family but anyone that entered her life was greeted with her pure Austrian charme and amazing cooking and pastry skills. She will be dancing again in a Vienna Coffee house with Franzl. Our condolences go out to the Zechner’s. RIP Bertha, the Barrett-Steindorff clan is missing you.
To the Zechner families: It is with sincere sadness to hear of the passing of your mother. Your mum was a gracious person who always made you feel good about yourself. When I was young, she invited me to watch ballet recitals that her daughter, Diane, was dancing in. We are thankful for the lovely bridal shower she gave for my sister-in-law. Bertha and Frank attended our wedding which we will not forget.

Bertha was so welcoming to our family when our daughter Lynn became a member of the Zechner family when she married John. May she rest in peace and may her love and spirit live on in her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. My sincere sympathy to the Zechner family
I was shocked and saddened to hear about the passing of a dear friend and neighbour for more than 50 yrs. I will cherish the many happy times
we had together, especially on New Years Eve when Frank and
Bertha would celebrate in their Recreation Room. We had lots
of fun especially dancing Polkas. Happy memories for sure. My
family and I send our love and condolences to all the Zechner
family.
