elevated MWdr3 Obituary
elevated MWdr3 It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Branko on Monday Sept 12, 2022 at the age of 86 years peacefully at his home of 51 years. Branko was born in Zapec, Gorski Kotar, Croatia on August 10,1936. Branko son to Petar Mihelic (who passed away when he was 2 years old) and Katica Mihelic. Dear brother to predeceased Ivica and sister Katica in Croatia and uncle to their children.
Branko was the beloved husband of 59 years to Danica Mihelic and loving Tata (father) to Nancy (Tadija) and son Mike (Patricia). Loved by his grandchildren Donna, Michael (Paula), Lukas and Tyler.
elevated MWdr3 Branko immigrated to Canada in 1961 after living in Austria as a skilled carpenter for a year. He met Danica at a Croatian dance and a year later were married on March 9,1963. Branko was part of the Carpenters & Allied Workers Local 27 and recognized for his 50 years of service from 1966 to 2021 where worked for Shandon Associates Inc. until he retired. Known for his big hands and firm grip Branko was a gentle giant that took pride in everything he did and would never hesitate to lend a helping hand to those in need. We will all miss him dearly but it brings us great solace knowing that he is at peace.

Thank you
Nancy, Mike and Danika,
We are both saddened to hear of Branko’s passing. We have many fond memories of visiting Elgin Drive (back in the Motorola days) of playing cards and getting drunk on your dad’s wine which he was very proud of. Although it has been a long-time we often still talk about it and the fun times we had. Thinking of everyone today on this sad day. Sorry we couldn’t be with you but we’re sending our thoughts and prayers to you and your family.
Thank you Patty and Brian, you are right he loved making his wine, we certainly had great times!
Barba Branko, as we affectionately called him, was a kind, honest, and generous man. We were extremely fortunate to have spent so much time with Branko and Danica over the years. He always made us feel like we were family and I’ll never forget the barbecues, gatherings, holidays and moments we enjoyed together. Rest in peace, dear friend, you will be sorely missed.
Thank you so much for all your support, dad loved all of you… Xoxo
Dear Dana, Nancy, Michael and family.
Please accept my sincerest
condolences on the passing of your beloved father. I’m sorry I wasn’t able to honour him in person to tell you this.
May the memories of him help heal your saddened hearts and may his soul rest in eternal peace.
Thank you Elvira
