elevated WfDjP It is with overwhelming sadness and heartache that we share the passing of Christian Casciano
at the age of 25 – July 6th 1998 – June 13th 2024. He will be remembered through his many
accomplishments throughout his life both professionally and academically. We are proud of his
impact within his soccer community as he has grown to be an amazing mentor, role model, and
inspiration. His warm presence and kindness resonates within family, friends, players and
teammates. He touched the hearts of many and brought out the best within all of us.
He leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and cherished memories that will be held dear by
those who knew and loved him.
elevated WfDjP His departure leaves an immense void in the hearts of his beloved mother and father Nancy &
Phil Casciano, cherished brother Massimo, sister-in-law Jocelyn Casciano, and dear dog Jax.
Adored grandson to Mike and Gina Casciano, and Sam and Lilia Cammisa. Proud nephew to
Mike and Anna Casciano, Cinzia and Francisco Bautista, Joe Cammisa, Angelina and Ross
Oppedisano. Treasured Godson to Nancy and Daniel Giatti. He will be deeply missed by his
cousins Gabriel, Danielle, Isabel Casciano, Joe and Michael Oppedisano, Juilian, Mateo and
Gilbert Bautista, Giulia and Michelle Giatti. He will be greatly missed by all of his family
members.
May he rest peacefully within our hearts.
I had the privilege of coaching Christian a few years ago and in fact, due to the qualities he portrayed, immediately made him captain of the team. Christian was a talented footballer and a wonderful human being. It was always a pleasure to be in his company including welcoming him into our home for the recent League Cup win for our beloved Liverpool. He was a cherished friend to our son Adam and my family extend our deepest condolences to Phil, Nancy and Christian’s entire family circle. Deeply mourned but never forgotten.
It is with great sadness that we extend our collective sympathies to Christians family and friends. Christian was a very popular character during his time with us at the former Toronto Lynx and we were all very proud of his ongoing soccer career. He will be sadly missed. Deepest condolences.

Christian was an amazing friend to me, one of the only ones who has always made it a point to reach out to me. He took care of me like I was his little sister. After 7 months of meeting him, he welcomed me to his home in Maple Leaf. I knew then that this is a friendship I would hold onto closely for the rest of my life. I will forever cherish the laughs we shared and the memories we made. Just a couple months ago, we joked about meeting at the alter so you could continue your success as a coach in America. Cash was a wonderful friend for so many years. From our time together at Georgian Court to our adventures in Philly, he will truly be missed. I’ll always treasure our memories together, driving to the Freehold Mall, hanging out in Cats and you winning my family Ugly Sweater Christmas Party competition. Christian was my best friend during such an important time in my life. He was such a light for me during my time at Georgian Court. We clicked as soon as he transferred in and we were inseparable. No one knew me like he did. He was my shoulder to cry on, my brother that gave advice even when i thought i didn’t need it and one of the best supporters i have ever had in my life. He knew everything about me and loved me for me- with no judgement attached. I was so proud of our friendship and i know he was too. My family loved him so much and always loved when he came over to hangout during breaks at school. I don’t think i will ever have another person in my life again, quite like you, Christian. I am going to miss him and his FaceTime calls dearly. I still don’t know how to feel. I love you Christian, thank you for helping me and being such a loyal and genuine person. Christian and I became friends at Saint Joseph’s College. We played soccer together and became close friends. After transferring schools, Christian made it a priority to stay connected through daily texts and FaceTime calls. When our schedules aligned and we were able to see each-other, it was like no time passed and we would pick up right where we left off.
He always supported me and encouraged me no matter what I was going through. I’ll never be able to thank him enough for that.
Christian, you are truly one of my best friends and I miss you so much. I know I’ll always have you watching over me. Rest easy, brother. Thank you for everything❤️

Christian (Canadian Scouser as he liked to ge called) was one of the first people in the US who made me feel welcome and I could relate to straight away. He has such a great sense of humor and his love for Liverpool football club was immense. I am so glad he got the chance to go to anfield his literal dream and see Liverpool win. I got the chance to take him to watch man city with me as well which although he hated the team we had lots of fun! He was such a caring person and always did everything he could to help others. He was such a great coach and really knew all his stuff when it came to soccer. He did all he could to help the team out by putting on extra training sessions and film sessions in his own time to try help others achieve more. In addition when my school closed down he called me every day for a week to try and help me make the right decision about where to go next. Such selfless behaviour all the time. I will forever miss our daily coach rides to practice. He was such a great role model to others and he has left us all with extra qualities we never had before. Christian was one of the first international students along with me to arrive to St Joseph’s College in the US. Unfortunately I only got to spend a year with him. It’s heartbreaking to hear about his passing but will remember him as an excellent person, teammate , and player. He was so passionate about football (soccer) and every time gave his 100% to the team. It’s so sad that he left us so young and with so many accomplishments yet to have. Rest in peace Brother.

Christian was truly one of a kind! He quickly became one of my best friends when I entered GCU my freshman year. He was sensitive and caring and loved his family so so much. I am grateful that I got to see and experience a side of Christian that he didn’t share all the time. He was kind hearted and cared deeply for those he loved. He will truly be missed. I can recall bringing Christian to the Jersey Shore house for the first time and him being ecstatic, as well as allowing him to drive my car because he would always say that is one thing he really missed while being in the states. I love you always Christian and you were truly appreciated and always will be until we meet again. Dearest Nancy, I just heard the news about your son’s passing and I’m sorry that I wasn’t at the funeral. My heart is breaking for you as I can only imagine how deeply you are feeling his loss. I am sending my most sincere condolences to you and your family at this most difficult time.
I would like to express my condolences to you, family and friends. Just as everyone else, I am extremely saddened by Cash passing away at this early age.
Cash was welcoming me at GCU and treated me like a an older brother since day 1. I remember it very clearly and always appreciated his hospitality since it was my first time arriving in the States.
He was a great friend who made my time at GCU much easier and more enjoyable both on and off the field. You should be more than proud of him having achieved such a successful college and coaching career, and affected so many around him positively. You’ve raised an amazing young man.
I am devastated to learn that he left us way too soon.
Nevertheless, he will forever be remembered and continue to live on in our hearts.
