She’ll never be forgotten and always be remembered. She was sincere, generous, brash and honorable. All of these traits and more are an important part of what made Dawn, Dawn. We will miss her; good friends are hard to find. May God bless her.
I will always miss how nice and hospitable Aunt Dawn was. Coming to windsor then Toronto and she would so much food and have is stay for whatever meal it was. She was a diplomat of love and friendliness. Will always love and miss her.
May God continue to shine his light of grace upon Dawn and her family.
I met Dawn in 1975 as a
Student attending the University of Windsor. My aunt in Jamaica knew her and asked her to take me under her wings, being so far away from home.
With open arms Dawn and her husband Ray opened up their home and treated me as if I were their blood relative, including me in Many family events and introducing me to their extended family who all adopted me. I was able to babysit their little girl Lina who was 3 years old at the time and so adorable she was and I gladly helped out. A few years later, I was present when Donato was born and watched them both grow.
Dawn was like my older sister(I was an only child) I could come to her anytime, especially when I was feeling homesick.! Or if I called Ray, for anything, he would come and help.
They also adopted all my housemates at the University and many Sundays cooked up a storm to feed the hungry mob.
These are just some memories I share about a beautiful person who I got to visit every vist that I made to Toronto including last year, before she left us..Kindness you never forget and as I share with others , you can never pay back the kindness bestowed on you, but you can practice paying forward to others who may need a helping hand.
I was so blessed to know both Dawn and Remo Coladipietro, two beautiful people whose souls have reunited in God’s Kingdom. May they Rest In Peace
