elevated VoFsj When Decio was younger he enjoyed competitive cycling, as well as, volleyball, basketball and cricket. He also loved his motorcycle.  He always loved all sports.  Decio coached his sons in the Chinguacousy boys soccer league for several years proudly winning championships most years. He very much enjoyed watching his children play many high school sports – rugby, football, basketball and more.  He spent many, many evenings at hockey and soccer games and many weekends at tournaments especially with his sons who played rep competitively while his daughter participated in baton twirling, dance, gymnastics, swimming and later cheerleading.  After that he began watching his grandchildren’s sports and activities from hockey to dance to gymnastics to cheer. He was absolutely dedicated to his wife, children, grandchildren – all family – and spent a great deal of time with them. They all particularly enjoyed getting together to swim in the backyard pool.  When they were happy, he was happy.   He was a big fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs and New England Patriots.  Can’t beat Brady!

elevated VoFsj He was a parishioner at St. Anthony of Padua Parish in Brampton for over 40 years, and also an usher/ head usher for many of those years. He worked as a manager at ITW Shakeproof, Dodge Reliance and Mitutoyo. He traveled to Florida, Boston/Cape Cod, New York City, Austin Texas, Las Vegas, Barbados and throughout Ireland and Italy in recent years with family and friends.  He also rented a cottage almost every year in Balm Beach with his family when his kids were young.  He enjoyed playing Scrabble and of course, any and all sports.  Spending time with his loving wife, Joan was important to him whether it was cooking dinner at home followed by a favourite show like Whealer Dealers or going out to dinner and the movies.  Decio and Joan were also members of the Chinguacousy Wellness Centre.  Decio had fun nicknaming people and items.  He was sincere, kind and easy going with a fantastic sense of humour making him popular with all who knew him.

elevated VoFsj In lieu of flowers, a donation to the Canadian Cancer Society in memory of Decio would be greatly appreciated.
