elevated uiZBb Peacefully with her family by her side, Diane (Semcos) Panoff passed away suddenly on Sunday, January 28, 2024 at the age of 55. She is survived by her loving husband and partner in life of 32 years, Tony, as well as her beloved children Samantha and Michael. Treasured mother-in-law to Philip. Only daughter of Antigoni and the late Mike Semcos, adored sister of Jim Semcos, cherished daughter in law of Nika and the late Sam Panoff and sister in law to Christine & Tom Stanwyck. Beloved niece, aunt, and cousin to so many in her extended family.
elevated uiZBb Growing up in Scarborough, Diane had many friends and enjoyed music, dancing, poetry and live concerts. In her teens she met her high school sweetheart and later married Tony in 1991. Together they built a beautiful family and a tight network of friends. Diane was always welcoming, gracious and loved a good laugh. Despite some of her health concerns, she always maintained her positivity – due in part to her great Faith and dedication to her family.
elevated uiZBb For those blessed to be called her friend, you knew that she was always available, gave great advice and always found a way to make everyone happy. She will be dearly missed and remembered by all those who had the pleasure of knowing and loving her.

Dearest Samantha and Michael,
I was heartbroken to learn of the passing of your dear mother. Truly she was one of the angels among us here on earth and although our world here is a bit darker for her loss, heaven is shining brighter with her presence. Your mother’s unfailing kindness, positive spirit, welcoming smile and courageous nature were an inspiration to not only me but all those lucky enough to have known her. Above all, the deep love she had for her family was clear to me each time we met and those times were always a joy I looked forward to. I deeply appreciated all the kindness and support she gave to me. I was privileged to have known this extraordinary woman.
How lucky you were to have such a loving and remarkable mother! I’m so sorry that your time with her was far too short. But if you believe in heaven, as I do, may you take comfort in knowing that she is still with you somewhere just beyond the limitations of sight and sound. Just beyond the horizon where her loved ones were there to greet her with joy. Speak to her as you would to God in prayer and I believe she will hear you. Who is to say that a mother’s love cannot bridge the distance between heaven and earth? You now have another angel to watch over and guide you in all the years to come.
My deepest condolences to you, your father, Samantha’s husband, your extended family and friends. May God in His mercy bless you all, comfort you in your pain and give you the strength to carry on to find success and happiness in life as your mother would wish.
