Dear Procopio Family,
My heart goes out to you for loss of a really great guy. I worked with Dino years ago and he was always a pleasure to be with and someone we could rely on.
Uncle Mike, Aunt Luisa, Robbie, Primela, Nadia, Michael and Vanessa, I’m so very sorry for your loss. I’m sending my love and prayers to you all. My deepest condolences. Rest in Peace Dino.
To our dearest Friend Dino, our hearts are broken. We will miss all our laughs, good times, advice you have given my son just like a father would. We don’t know how to cope with this tragic loss but we will keep you in our hearts forever. We will be by your Family’s side always. We will miss you until we meet again My Friend. We Love You!! R.I.P. Dino – Mary & Joseph Vitulli
Dino was a very happy guy, fun to work with. I have never forgotten how kind he was to me when my husband passed away in 2011. My sympathies to all.
We (my family) have lived right next door to Dino and Nadia for nigh on 20 years. We have cut lawns and cleaned snow for each other just to help. Dino has been more than a neighbour, he has been our friend.
I personally have admired Dino for his devotion to his family and the hours and hours he has spent on sport fields with Michael and Vanessa that they could grow in a loving environment. His selfless investment in them will help them go on in these challenging days because they will be able to hear him cheering them on and offering advice in their mind – they will know what he would have said in any situation they face in the future – his guidance and wisdom will be with them always. I still hear my Mom and Dad when I need their guidance or encouragement – I already KNOW what they would say.
Dino made the investment, did the work. His family WILL be able to go on without him because there is nurtured strength there, as much as losing him hurts them and all of us. He was a good man, a great neighbour, and a good friend and I miss him already.
Fair winds and following seas on your journey Dino, we will all be joining you soon enough.
And Nadia, as I said today, we are right next door. I will take care of the snow for as long as we live here. For anything else both Karen and I are here to help as we can – walk over or call.
Michael, your Mom has already told me of you making decisions during this crisis with wisdom beyond your age. If you want a spotter or a second opinion at any time you can talk to me or any of my family. I will be there for you just like the time I hopped the fence to extract your fingers from the patio door.
Vanessa, no less than Michael you have our support, but not having a daughter I am less sure of how to help you. If you ever need anything please run next door and let us keep you safe until we can figure out how to help. I know how ferocious your Dad would have been in your defense – we will do our best to come close.
Your friend,
“MacGyver” and family –
Andy MacPhee

Dino I am going to miss our conversations and your kinds words that were always delivered with a smile. You will be truly missed by all that had the pleasure of getting to know you. My condolences to your family.
We are so very sorry for your loss. We will hold all of you in our thoughts and prayers.
My deepest condolences to Nadia, Michael, Vanessa and family.
Dino was a respected and loved friend and co-worker. I had the honor of knowing him from grade school and later in life our paths crossed again when I ended up working for him at RBC.
Dino taught me how to never give up, how to always give 110% in everything I do, how to work but to also have fun at work. He did this by leading by example. For his friends at RBC, he also taught us the right way to open a bag of Doritos and how a candy dish was so important to have at your desk. He also was an expert at mimicking me with my hand gestures and made us laugh to the point of crying. These are just some of the stories that each one of us have with Dino. I think I can speak for others and say, all these memories will at first make us cry but will soon be followed up with a smile and a laugh…because that’s what Dino did for us. He made us smile and laugh, he was a good guy.
Always needing to have the last word, Dino’s final teaching to us was a reminder to never take life for granted. To love our family and friends and let them know through our words and actions. I am thankful that I had the pleasure of knowing Dino and being a friend.
Nadia, Michael, Vanessa, anyone who knew Dino knew just how much he LOVED you all so very much. May his love for you and his spirit help you through this difficult time.
Rest in Peace my friend.
To the Procopio family, we are so sad to hear the tragic news. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all, during this difficult time. May God give you strength to go on. Lots of love, Elena & Robert Covassi and Family. Zia Luisa & Zio Savino Serena
We wish to extend deepest condolences.
My deepest sympathies to your family for such a loss. I was a former colleague of Dino’s at RBC. Whenever we crossed paths at work, we stopped for “soccer talk”. Whether it be TFC, European soccer, or just grassroots, community soccer given our love for coaching and having children in the game, we enjoyed sharing many laughs, stories, and “armchair” coaching ideas.
Dino always had a smile on his face and a great passion for the things he did at and outside of work.
He will truly be missed and will always be in our hearts and memories.
Nadia,
Our prayers are with you. I am so grateful to have met you on your honeymoon and to have continued our friendship in Michigan and beyond. All of the tributes prior to this one, have served to reinforce my feelings of my friend Dino. Truly a great guy and a bunch of fun to be with. God Bless you as you move forward. Dino will watch over you all.
Peace.
Steve and Jane Thiemann
Dear Procopio Family,
We were completely shocked by the sudden passing of Dino.
We are sending our prayers during this difficult time. You have our deepest sympathy. May God give him eternal rest.
Sokalski Family
Our deepest condolences to the Procopio family.
I can only echo Andrew’s message of Dino’s big heart. When my young son was having difficulty with his role on his minor hockey team and wouldn’t listen to me anymore, Dino came out one night to watch him play. The next day he called and spoke to Jake and offered some coaching advice. This one stood out; “never go off on your own, wait for coach to take you off”. My son never forgot that advice, he’s almost 18 now.
We shared a dislike for the Leafs (No Leafs No) and a love of wagering on football. I miss our weekly meetings to discuss odds and make picks (even though he said the NFL was fixed) only to lose another weeks games. As others have said a smart, big hearted, funny guy and a joy to be around whether it was a social occasion or not. He made it fun to come to work. ……..the coach took him off too soon.
Condolences Nadia, Michael and Vanessa. We will always cherish and remember the good times we had with Dino. He always made us laugh. We will miss him. Know that he will be in our hearts forever and he will watch over you. Sending you prayers and strength. Love , Frank Tina, Stefano and Sabrina
Nadia, Michael & Vanessa,
After hearing the devastating news, I along with everyone else who knew Dino were left at a loss for words. I finally managed to put a few of my thoughts together and write something about a wonderful human being. Whether you met Dino for five minutes or knew him for twenty years, the outcome was the same, you either left with a good belly laugh or at the very least, a smile. He had a special way of having everyone he met like him, a trait so very rare in this day and age. Many say you shouldn’t have any regrets in life, we’ll I’m guilty of one, that I should of spent more time with Dino. I am very grateful for the many times I did spend with him and I will NEVER forget and will cherish and keep them close to my heart. I would like to say to everyone who loved Dino and will miss him dearly, to stay strong and remember all the good times with this wonderful man! Dino, you will always be loved, remembered, but NEVER forgotten! Rest in peace my friend.
Dearest Nadia, Michael and Venessa,
What a terrible shock! The world has lost a warm hearted and really friendly person.
Our deepest condolences!
Terry, Mandy, Aaryon and Shyon Gaeeni
Our deepest condolences. Dino will be missed.
Dino was one of my first colleagues at HP, almost 23 years ago. He quickly became a friend, starting each day off with a joke & a smile, setting the tone for the most fun I’ve ever had at work. He was humble, honest, light-hearted, funny to the core, and one of the most genuine, salt of the earth human beings I’ve known. Word of his passing spread quickly among HP’ers, past and present….and in true Dino fashion, brought many of us long lost friends back in touch again. Although I hadn’t seen or talked to Dino much over the years, the previous testaments to his values, tells me he didn’t change one bit.
To Nadia, Michael, Vanessa & his entire family…my sincere condolences. This is an immeasurable loss that is so difficult to make sense of. Lean into the memories and love he will continue to surround you with each day moving forward.
Rest in peace my friend.
Nadia, Michael and Vanessa we are so saddened by the sudden loss of Dino. I know how much I enjoyed our conversations in the stands and especially after the games while we waited for our boys to get out of the locker room. You are all in our thoughts and prayers.
