elevated mSOou Obituary
In Loving Memory of Domenico Vaccaro

elevated mSOou It is with profound sadness and boundless love that we announce the passing of Domenico (Domenic) Vaccaro, at the age of 76 years old, following a sudden and brief period of illness. He will be missed immeasurably, yet his memory and spirit will live on forever in the hearts of family and friends who take comfort in knowing he is now at peace.

elevated mSOou Loving and devoted husband, father (papĂ ), grandfather (nonno), uncle (zio) and friend (compare), Domenic is survived by his wife Marie (nĂ©e Fantetti) of 55 years, his children – Lucia (Mauro Colacito), Nick, Lisa-Marie (Rick Carnovale) and Linda, his grandchildren – Ernesto (Krizia De Luisi), Adelina (Luc Martineau), Jiovanni, Rea and Alaynna, his cousins, brothers- and sisters-in-law, and nieces and nephews in Canada and Italy, many of whom he loved and cherished as much as his own children. He joins his predeceased parents, Nicola and Lucia, and his siblings, Maria, Linda, Luigi and Tonino in heaven.

elevated mSOou Born and raised in Bonefro, Campobasso (IT), where a significant part of his heart and soul always remained, Domenic immigrated to Canada in 1968 to marry the love of his life Marie, start a family, and pursue greater possibilities. In 1979 he established Vaccaro Motors Limited (Caledon) – a successful, small family business that he proudly ran for more than 45 years. He resided in Brampton, Ontario where he raised his children and contributed to his community by coaching and sponsoring local soccer clubs for several years.

elevated mSOou Domenic is best remembered as being full of life, the life of the party, and a lifeline for many. He was an optimist, found joy in life’s simple pleasures, and was never one to fuss over. Thoughtful and caring, he was generous to a fault. Always ready to lend a helping hand, he would give you the shirt off his back. He had a fondness for cars, farming and gardening, animals and nature, watching Italian variety shows and Sunday morning soccer, playing cards and convening competitive matches.

elevated mSOou The family would like to acknowledge and thank the many special people that assisted with Domenic’s care, specifically the doctors, nurses and staff at both Brampton Civic Hospital and Trillium Mississauga Hospital.

elevated mSOou Those who wish to honour Domenic’s memory or celebrate his life are invited to raise a glass and share a toast with a loved one and/or plant a fruit tree in his honour. All are also invited to leave a message for the family, post memories and final words to him in the online guestbook.

elevated mSOou With utmost kindness and appreciation,
Marie Vaccaro & Family
