It is with great sadness that the family of Doreen Helen Aonso (nee Hutcheson) announce her passing on September 15, 2021. She was predeceased by the love of her life, Joseph, son Daniel and brother David. Born on July 7, 1929, in Edinburgh, Scotland to David and Josephine Hutcheson. Doreen followed her husband to Canada in 1949 but remained a proud Scot throughout her life. Known for her strong Catholic faith, quick wit, love of debating, word games, old movies and ice cream, she became the proud matriarch of a large family. She will be forever remembered and loved by her children Michael (Lynn), John (Susan) and Mary Hicks (Derrick). Lovingly remembered and missed by her 12 grandchildren Lauren Aonso Mielcarek, Heather Aonso Vrbica, Christine Leigh and Daniel Aonso; Joseph, Jeffrey, Christine Danielle, Casey and John Aonso; Christopher, Amanda and Adam Hicks and all of their partners. She also loved and enjoyed her 10 great grandchildren. Will be dearly missed by her sister Kathleen Burns (Ken) and brother Andrew Hutcheson (Mary) and their families and her friends.
