elevated hWj7F Obituary
elevated hWj7F God Bless our Mother, Dorothy Helen Smith.
elevated hWj7F From her humble beginnings in Pickering 94 years ago our Mom created a legacy that her family and friends will remember for years to come. She was raised on a farm, the youngest of 8 siblings. She enjoyed raising her chickens on the farm, golfing with her brothers and her sons, betting on the Smith Family horses, dancing with Dad and supporting him as he built his business and ‘occasionally’ a Gin and diet sprite. She will be remembered by all who knew her for her lovely smile, great sense of humour and as a very kind and loving person who devoted her life to supporting her husband Michael and to raising their family which to date totals over 60 children, grand-children and great grand-children and more being added every year. She will be missed and forever loved by her family and friends.
elevated hWj7F Special thanks to our sister Catherine who has devoted so much time and care in looking after our Mom in her home for the last 10 years and to the wonderful Doctors and Nurses at the Markham – Stouffville hospital.

To Dan, Trudy and all the Smith family. Sorry to hear about your mom. My memory of her is smiling with such joy when she would go down for a picture on the track with one of your horses who had just won a race! Thoughts with you all.

I pray that in time the wonderful memories you’ve made with replace the sadness.
Thinking of you…
To Cindy and your large and wonderful family, sorry for your loss of this magnificent woman. She raised a loving family and her love lives on.
Dear Paul and Jo,
To you and all your family we extend our heartfelt sympathy at this time of grief and sorrow, soon to be filled with loving thoughts and memories of joy-filled times together. Our memories of Upper Highland in the ‘orange den’, basement parties, Sunday dinners, and, of course, cottage times with your Mom and Dad will always be part of our history together.
She will also be missed by Peggy, a dear and loving friend, with whom she shared great cottage, family and Florida times over many a gin and tonic, laughing and reminiscing together. We will all miss Dorothy’s beautiful smile.
With love and support to you all,
Don and Pat Mac Intosh and Family
