elevated swaS6 February 8, 1938 ~ April 12, 2020
elevated swaS6 It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Edward (Eamon) Gaughan. Beloved husband and best friend of 50 years to Agnes. Adored father to Catherine and Damian and father-in-law to Florian. Cherished Grandpa of Marie Apolline, Émile Guy, and Félix Eamon. Devoted brother to Kathleen, Tom, and Maureen, predeceased by his parents, Catherine and Hugh, and his brother Anthony.
elevated swaS6 Eamon’s memory will live on in the hearts and minds of family and friends as a kind and loving man who always put the needs of others before his own. A real estate agent of over 40 years he always believed your home was your castle and made many long-lasting friendships throughout his career. Eamon was always up for an adventure whether it was trips to visit family in England and Ireland or driving in the car, it was the journey rather than the destination that mattered as there were often a few detours along the way. Family and faith were at the centre of Eamon’s life, involving daily mass and the rosary. Eamon was a gentle and humble man who will be remembered for his sense of humour, his jolly ways, and his passion for football. He will be dearly missed.
elevated swaS6 Due to the unprecedented circumstances surrounding COVID-19, a private service will be held on Wednesday, April 15, 2020 at 10:30am. Our deepest sympathy to Agnes and family. Eamon was a treasured member of the Emerald Isle Seniors Society and a big fan of English Soccer we had many conversations on that subject. He will be sadly missed at the Tuesday lunch were he kept us all entertained with his sense of humour. He really enjoyed the sing song while his wife Agnes played the piano. You will not be forgotton rest in peace Eamon.
Agnes and family
Please accept my sincere heartfelt sympathy on the passing of Eamon RIP.
Eamon was blessed to have had so much love and support from his beautiful family to the end of his life.
His deep devotion to his faith has earned him eternal rest in his heavenly home. R.I.P.Eamon.
Dear Agnes, Catherine and Damian,
Anthony and I offer you our condolences and prayers for your consolation and for the repose of the soul of dear Eamon. He helped us purchase our first, and only, home in 1986 and have not forgotten his integrity and genuine concern for us. At the end of each year, he would visit, drop off a calendar and ask about our growing family. When we became parishioners at St. Tim’s, we were happy to often see him and you, Agnes, at Mass. He was a kind, genuine, happy, devout friend.
So sorry for your loss. I have fond memories of Mr. Gaughan. Please send me a link to the web cast.
My condolences,
Ari
A great father. He will be missed. Our prayers are with the family
Please accept my deepest condolences on Mr. Gaughan’s passing. He was such a special and lovely man and I am honoured to have known him. My thoughts and love are with you all in this hard time.
Dear Agnes and family
Please accept my deepest sympathies and those of our parish community at St. Timothy’s. I will always remember Eamonn from daily mass at our parish. He was indeed a gentle soul. What a special and touching service. I believe the Easter promise of eternal life is his today where the Lord will hold him in the palm of His hand. May God bless you and the family.
On behalf of myself and my wife Sarah, we offer our most sincere and deepest condolences to the whole Gaughan family.
Eamon is dearly loved and missed by all those who’s had the privilege of knowing him.
Dear Agnes, Catherine, Damian and family.
I am so sorry for your loss. I remember Agnes always speaking of Eamon with love. Lots of great stories. Sal (my husband) and I were recalling Eamon Irish dancing at Ruth’s home years ago. A sweet and dear man… May his legacy live on in the hearts and lives of his children and grandchildren.
I worked with Agnes – FPU St. Michael’s Hospital.
