elevated W4saM Obituary

elevated W4saM It is with heavy hearts and a profound sense of loss we share the peaceful passing of Edda D’Amico (nee Gioia) on February 19, 2025 at the age of 86 surrounded by her loving family. Born on June 7, 1938 in San Massimo, Campobasso, Italy to parents Giuseppe and Pierina. Cherished wife to Michele of over 67 years and loving mother to her children Teresa (Sam), Joe (Lucy), and loving mother-in-law to the late Aldo. Adoring and nurturing grandmother to Danielle (Eric), Denise (Anton), Jessica, and Ally. Affectionate great grandmother to Jonathan, Joanna, Marcus, Aurora, and Naomi. Beloved sister to the late Pietro Gioia (late Antonietta); daughter-in-law to Alessandro and Filomena. Edda will be sadly missed and held dear in the hearts of her many nieces, nephews, and godchildren. She will be forever missed by her entire family and all the friends she made along the way.
We are grateful to the staff of North York General Hospital with special thanks to Dr. Grossman and the many nurses at 8 West who cared for her. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in honour of Edda D’Amico can be made to North York General Foundation
A life lived with such grace and beauty deserves a beautiful tribute and your thoughts and kindness are truly appreciated during this time of sorrow.
