So sorry to hear about your mom. If this is the same lady, I worked as secretary to your father Dr. Arthur Dunn, Chief, Dept. of Anaesthesia,
St. Michael’s Hospital, during the years 1968-1973. I met your mom as she volunteered in the Tuck Shop at St. Michael’s. She was a lovely lady. Your father came to our wedding in 1971.
Thank you Laureen. Yes, she was a lovely and graceful lady all her life, with a keen, caring interest in all the people she encountered and in current events.
Was saddened to read of the death of your beloved mother, Joan. She was a beautiful and holy woman, a devoted wife, mother and grandmother and a wonderful neighbour and friend to my mother, Peggy Walsh, for so many years. Strangely, Mum passed away on May 22nd, 2010 and I believe that I visited with your mother last on May 26th, the day of Mum’s funeral. She was always so sweet and she had Mum had many fun shopping adventures and happy visits together over the years. You will miss her dearly but were able to show your love for her so tangibly in your loving care for her.
Thank you Monica. Yes, our mothers had great times together. It makes me laugh to remember how many spry over-eighty ladies would jump into her car to get a ride home from the 5pm Saturday Mass at OLPH. She would have one in the front and three in the back.
May God bless your family.
Dear Dunn Family,
I lived in the house your parents’ bought on Inglewood Drive so many years ago. My parents always loved that someone bought the house who would love it. And to this day, when I drive or walk by it, I found comfort in knowing the same family was still living there.
I heard so many lovely stories about your mother and family through Peggy Walsh, who was a dear friend to my family and the mother of my lifelong friend, Monica Walsh Hoy.
I know we have never met but I wanted to reach out and say I am thinking of you and your family
Thank you, Mary. May God bless you and your family.
For John
Many times I have wondered how your Mother was doing because for so many years we sat near each other in Church. As Ted and I knew you from working together, she kept us up to date on your doings.
Ted died three years ago.
My deepest sympathy to you and your sisters ….. your Mother had a good innings.
God Bless
I am very sorry to read of Mrs. Dunn’s passing last May.
Mrs. Dunn was a wonderful Mom and a great Christian lady.
I will offer Holy Mass for her tomorrow morning.
My prayers are with my dear old friends in the Dunn family.
