God called Ennio peacefully on June 19th 2024 at the age of 67. Adoring son of Dorina. He is reunited in heaven with his late father Attilio. Cherished by his children Tanya (Andrew) and son Justin. He will be forever missed by his brothers Mario (Marianna) Bruno (Loretta), his sister Rosamaria (Patrick), his nieces Amanda, Alicia, Isabella, Nikki (Leonardo), Great Nephew Nico, his stepsons Adam, Lewis and his step granddaughter Evie. He will be held dearly in the hearts of relatives and many friends in Canada, Italy and Hong Kong.

My deepest Condolences to Mario, Bruno and all the Serrani Family. Carissimo Ennio mi manchera’ il tuo sorriso, il modo di scherzare sempre fra di noi, per poi riderci su’! Mi mancherai perche’ sono molto fiero di ricambiare il tuo bene verso di me sin dal primo giorno che ci siamo incontrati la fine di Settembre del lontano 1976 quando arrivai a Toronto dall’Italia quel mese di Settembre. Stavo male per lasciare l’Italia e a 17 anni lasciare gli amici d’infazia e’ stato un duro colpo per me! Poi averndo molto limitata la conoscenza della lingua Inglese, solo quel poco che ho appreso alle scuole medie. La mia eterna passione che mi portero’ nella tomba e’ il Calcio. Un pomeriggio dopo le classi, ho notato dei volantini appesi su i muri nei corridoi della scuola, era un invito al calcio coperto, ho preso coraggio e sono venuto alla palestra di Emery C.I. per vedere di cosa si trattasse, rimasi sull’uscio di porta a guardare non conoscendo nessuno, ma tu lo hai capito e sei venuto verso di me e mi hai detto tu sei Italiano! ti ho detto di si e hai subito capito che ero da poco in Canada, mi hai messo il braccio attorno al mio collo e mi ha detto benvenuto vieni a giocare con noi e mi ha presentato gli altri e li si e’ sollevato un grande peso dalle mie spalle. Mi hai accolto da amico e mi hai fatto sentire parte di quel gruppo e per la prima volta qui in Canada mi sono sentito a casa con voi. Questo per me e’ stato un grandissimo dono. Fineti gli studi at Emery abbiamo preso strade diverse e sono passati parecchi anni e dove ci siamo ritrovati? su un campo di calcio e ti ho riconosciuto subito perche’ avevi lo stesso sorriso sotto i baffi gli stessi capelli corti e quegli occhi azzuri e mi sono detto quello e’ Ennio, sono venuto a parlarti e subito ti sei ricordato e tu mi dissi, “allora ora che ci siamo rincontrati vieni a giocare con la nostra squadra” e io figurati! ho detto subito si! ho notato che la maglia era quella della squadra che tifiamo, quella della nostra Grande Pazza Inter. dal quel giorno abbiamo sempre giocato nella stessa squadra fino quando e’ arrivato il Covid, ma siamo rimasti sempre in contatto. Mi ritengo fortunato che ho incontrato una persona della tua squisitezza, molto intelligente sempre cortese e cordiale con grande bonta’. Dentro di me portero quel giorno che e’ nata la nostra Amicizia, con te e altri quell’anno che mi avete accalto e aiutato subito da Amici. Carissimo Ennio mentirei se direi che non sento molto dolore e sto male, Comunque quei cari ricordi me li tengo stretti e sei sempre nel mio cuore, quando le persone si ricordano con amore non muoino mai! Carissimo Ennio Riposa in pace, pero’ mi raccomando prepara il campo di Calcio perche’ lo so’ che quando arrivero mi accoglierai di nuovo per giocare a Calcio.
I was a friend of Ennio’s in the event industry. I loved working with him. He was kind, friendly, dependable & honest. If he was on the job, I had confidence things would be done right.
Ennio was always smiling & his blue eyes shone bright. He will be missed. May Ennio’s family be comforted by the memories of good times you shared

Dorina, how can we offer our sincere condolences on the tragic loss of your beloved son? we did not know until June22 and were shocked to learn of his passing. It is a very difficult time for you and we hope that God will grant you some relief of your pain. May he rest in peace.
