elevated W93k5 Obituary
On behalf of the Lacson family and relatives, we would like to inform you that our beloved sister Estelita (Estie) Lacson died on Monday December 16 at Woodhall Park long term care home. Estie enjoyed living at Woodhall. She participated in their many recreational programs and received excellent care throughout her stay there and during the progression of her illness.

elevated W93k5 As a family we acknowledge her pioneering spirit of being the first family member to immigrate from the Philippines to Canada. In Canada she had to adapt to a new climate, culture, work life and initially being without family. As a family we give thanks to Estie for doing the hard work to sponsor family to come to Canada. Over the course of many years Estie was able to bring sisters Terry, Ely, Cora, Lucy and a brother, Joseph to Canada. Creating a new life and forming relationships and building careers contributing to our community. Estie was also able to bring mother and father, Teodoro and Catalina to see Toronto and know how their family were settling in a new home. In addition to family, Estie demonstrated generosity by opening her home to new immigrants to help them settle in Canada.

elevated W93k5 Estie was single and never married but was a friend and auntie to many people and families. As family and friends, we all benefitted from Estie’s wonderful cooking and baking skills. After a delicious meal with Estie you always went home with great food to eat.

elevated W93k5 Estie was a person of faith who regularly attended Mass and assisted at the Church. While her circumstances changed and needed to live in a long term care home Estie continued her prayers as she was able.

elevated W93k5 As a family we want to express our gratitude to the staff of Woodhall Park long term care home who provided palliative care and support to Estie. We also like to thank staff of Osler Hospital in Brampton where she had several episodes of care in recent months.

elevated W93k5 We believe that Estie is now free from any disability and cognitive challenges to celebrate in heaven with family and friends who have gone before.

elevated W93k5 If you are able, we like you to make a donation to organizations that support people with Alzheimer’s disease or do research to lessen the impact of this disease.
