It is with sadness we announce the passing of Eugene McAvoy on Tuesday, March 25, 2025.  Beloved husband of Valerie.  Loving stepfather to Gary (Cheryl), Robert (Jennifer) and Lorraine (John).  Proud Gramps to Alasdair (Megan), Matthew, Owain, Cameron, Alex, Jeremy, Julia and Carter.  Uncle Eugene will be sadly missed by his beloved nieces and nephews, and their families. Eugene is reunited with his brothers Thomas, Harry & Jack and sisters Evelyn and Eleanor, whom he had missed profoundly.  Family and Friends will be received at Queen of Heaven Catholic Funeral Home, 7300 ON-27, Woodbridge, ON from 11:00am – 1:00pm on Saturday, April 5, with Funeral Mass to follow at 1:30pm.  Interment to follow at Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery.  As expressions of sympathy, donations to Covenant House or Catholic Missions of Canada would be appreciated.
