With profound sadness and deep love, we announce the passing of our beloved matriarch, Eustine Olive De Freitas, who departed this life on March 15, 2025, at the remarkable age of 99, surrounded by the warmth of her family.

elevated uAH8b Eustine was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, great-great-grandmother, sister, sister-in-law, aunt, cousin, and friend, whose kindness and strength touched the lives of all who knew her. Her unwavering love, wisdom, and generosity created a legacy that will live on in the hearts of those she cherished.

elevated uAH8b She will be lovingly remembered by her six children: Marva Chac Wai (Kenneth Chac Wai), Ronald De Freitas (Debbie De Freitas), Michael De Freitas (Cheryl De Freitas), Allison Lalljee (David Lim), Rose Marie Dindial (Charles Dindial), and Roger De Freitas (Melody De Freitas). Her love extended to her ten grandchildren: Ronald De Freitas Jr., Alan Chac Wai, Suzette Chac Wai, Marcus Chac Wai, Jason De Freitas, Michelle Lalljee, Elizabeth Maharaj, Jerome Dindial, and Lauryn De Freitas; her 18 great-grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren, all of whom were blessed to have been part of her life.

elevated uAH8b The family would like to express their heartfelt gratitude to Dr. Marvlyn Walling and the many dedicated PSWs, nurses who provided compassionate in-home care and the Eucharist Ministers from Merciful Redeemer Parish. 

elevated uAH8b In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Credit Valley Hospital in Mississauga, Ontario, in honour of Eustine’s enduring spirit and the care she received.

elevated uAH8b Though she has left this world, her love, wisdom, and cherished memories will live on in all who had the privilege of knowing her.

elevated uAH8b Rest in peace, Moy (as she was fondly called). You will be forever loved and deeply missed.
