Adrian cared so much about his friends and family. When visiting Mai and Pai’s you were greeted like you were visiting a friend’s home. When my mother was ill Adrian showed how much he cared by sending her homemade meals. He shared his kindness to all. We were Blessed to share some great conversations and laughs. Our sincere condolences to a beautiful family.

Dear Melinda, Caroline, Natalie and Nicolas, Rosalind, Florinda, Maria and families.
Our sincere condolences on the passing of Adrian. May the Good Lord keep him in His care and shower each of you with His blessings.
Adrian will always be remembered with much fondness by both Anita and myself. When we first arrived in Canada, he and his beloved wife Melinda warmly welcomed us and gifted us with our very first rice cooker that we still have. Adrian was a cinephile, or a movie buff and would recommend some of the best films to us. He was also a music lover and enthusiast, not only of western classics but also of Hindi and Urdu songs. The get togethers at his home were always a spectacular soiree…of great food, bonhomie, laughter and song. The center of attraction being his own dishes, I still remember the tasty, spicy aubergine / eggplant he prepared at a get-together. Adrian also had a zest for life and an aesthetic sense for all things creative, wonderful and beautiful. In our hearts though…it will be kabhi alvida na kehna (never say goodbye) because of the kindness and affection he always extended towards us. He truly loved Jesus and showed it in his actions, and we’re pretty sure that he’s having a party in heaven.
To the D’Costa family
Wishing each of you, specially Melinda, and the children Caroline, Natalie and Nicholas, our sincere condolences and hope you find strength and solace in this time of sadness and grief. We will always remember Adrian as a warm and very pleasing and man.

Dear Melinda, Caroline, Natalie, Nicolas and the D’Costa family,
I am deeply saddened by the loss of your beloved Adrian. He was a loving, caring, beautiful soul and will always be remembered with affection and kindness.
Family traditions keep us close to each other. In Chicago, during are early days, we were young and we were family!! We had each other and that made all the difference. Our favorite tradition from the time our boys were babies well into their childhood, was our Monday evening dinners with Anthony and Adrian. It was not just the good food and laughter. It was Monday night football and playing games. In the summer, it was barbecue, playing basketball, riding bikes, movies and music.
Most of all, it is good memories that last a lifetime!!
With love and affection,
Marilyn Lobo

Our Dearest Extended Family,
Life is a tapestry woven with memories—some that bring us joy and others that teach us valuable lessons, reminding us to cherish the good.
We have had the privilege of knowing Adrian since he was a child at St. Lawrence’s Church and School, and our hearts are filled with treasured memories that celebrate his remarkable life.
Adrian’s unique smile and warm hospitality brought light to every room. His readiness to help those in need, immense love for family and friends, jovial spirit, entrepreneurial courage, and adventurous heart made him truly one of a kind.
He cherished his children and loving wife, beaming with pride at their achievements. From a young age, he collected song lyrics in cherished notebooks, sharing them with me during a visit. Though he was shy about singing, when he did, his voice resonated with joy, thrilling our ears and hearts.
We fondly remember his wedding, the joyous births of his children, his legendary parties, and his incredible culinary talents that created scrumptious feasts, bringing everyone together in laughter and celebration.
Adrian had a special bond with our son, Ryan, who took to him like a duck to water. We cherish the photos of little Ryan sitting comfortably on Adrian’s lap—something rare, as Ryan was often shy around others.
The news of Adrian’s life sucking illness was heart-wrenching, a journey he faced with a strength that inspired us all with the little support we could render. As the saying goes: We are ultimately alone from the cradle to the grave! While we may feel alone in our struggles, as the poet Lord Tennyson said, “Ours is not to reason why; ours is but to do and die.” Meaning that we have to trust in the Almighty and submit to his will!
Life’s journey is fraught with uncertainties, and it is difficult to fathom the pain he and his loved ones endured in recent months.
As we reflect on the journey of those like Steve Jobs, who faced similar battles, we are reminded that no amount of wealth or power can change the inevitable. His experience teaches us that true strength lies not in our possessions but in the love and connections we cultivate throughout our lives.
Yet, in our sorrow, we hold onto faith in the Father who knows all things. It is this faith that provides solace in times of questioning—why must such trials befall a kind and loving family when so many wicked seem to flourish?
Our faith reassures us that we will be reunited with our loved ones when our time comes. Thus, we find comfort in knowing that Adrian is now embraced by the love of Mai, Pai, Tony, Jared, and others. We trust that Ryan will once again hold his hand in the eternal embrace of love.
In this life, let us extend our hearts, minds, and hands to Melinda, Caroline, Natalie, Nicholas, Rosalind, Florrie and Maria, who are all part of our extended family. Together, we can support one another through this profound loss.
Adrian, you will forever remain young in our hearts. You will be remembered in our thoughts and prayers, and as the saying goes, “To live in the hearts of those we love is never to die.” Your spirit will continue to inspire us, reminding us to cherish every moment and every memory.
With love and remembrance,
Terry & Ruth, Jordan & Yali, and Ryan D’Silva
Dear Melinda my deepest condolences to you and your family. Adrian was such a wonderful person
May God help you and your family during this difficult time.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to you Ros and to your family.

We extend our deepest condolences to Melinda, Caroline, Nathalie, Nicholas, Rosalind, Flory, Maria, and the entire family on the passing of dear Adrian. The news came as a shock, and our hearts go out to you during this difficult time.
Adrian was a kind and compassionate soul, always warm and welcoming. He held a special place in my life, and I will always cherish the memories we shared, especially in Dubai. His kindness will never be forgotten.
Though he is no longer with us, we find comfort in knowing that he is at peace, reunited with his loved ones. May you find strength and solace in the love and support surrounding you.
Rest in peace, Adrian. You will be deeply missed.
Melinda, we are so sorry for your loss. Thinking of you and the kids in this difficult time. I still remember carpooling to work everyday with Soosan and Adrian. The drive to work even though it was half an hour away never felt long because of the great conversations we had each and everyday. He always had a smile on his face and it is something I will always remember him by. Rest in Peace my Friend. Heaven has added a Great Person….
Those who live in our memories are never truly gone.
Adrian was always a kind and gentle soul, whose love for his family and friends will always be remembered. He said what he felt in his heart and never wavered in his beliefs. He was kind, he was generous. He opened his home to all. He shared his wisdom. He shared his laughter. Above all he showed all of us what it means to truly love. Even in his extreme pain and suffering, and the few times we got to speak with him, he always thanked us for calling him.
He is at peace now , in the presence of all the Angels and Saints, and with his beloved brother Anthony, his Mai and Pai. May his soul rest in eternal peace. Sleep well dear friend, till we all meet again.
With love from Alan and Sherry DSilva and the whole family, Jeffrey, Becky, Freddie, Jessica, Matt, Delilah and Dawsyn
