elevated 05MTh Filippo Pacitto peacefully passed away surrounded by his loving family on January 30, 2024 at the age of 92. Beloved husband of 65 years to Luigia. Proud and caring father to Irma (Giancarlo), Bruna (Alberto) and Renato. His special blessings are his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Nonno to: Pasqualino (Balbina), Christina (Brandon), Andre (Marianna), Jean-Paul (Erica), Julien, Jamie and Bis Nonno to Giovanni George, Cosette Luigia, and Amelia Irma. We will all miss him so much as we hold all the special memories of our life together in our thoughts and hearts.
elevated 05MTh Filippo loved the outdoors and nature. His enjoyment of hunting began as a young man in Italy and continued throughout his life until he was no longer able, just a few years ago. His passion for gardening was undeniable, as he spent endless happy days cultivating his plants, trees and flowers. He transformed his backyard into a secret garden where you would find an assortment of delicious fruits and vegetables that he would share with his family, friends and neighbours. He was always enthusiastic about giving a guided tour. A bare patch of soil around his home was not to be found, as he carried vegetable seeds in his pockets sprinkling them, in anticipation of something unexpected (amongst mom’s flowers). We pray that our Lord has a patch of soil in his garden for him to enjoy.
elevated 05MTh Filippo will always be remembered for his commitment and love for his family, his kindness, generosity and his gratitude for all his many blessings…he created this legacy for us to continue.
elevated 05MTh If desired, it would be most appreciated if a memorial donation be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation or to the Nature Conservatory of Canada.

Our deepest sympathies to you and your family during this difficult time.
Our deepest condolences from Tonino ( nephew) and all of our family. Our lives have been interwined since the day I was born. I remember when my uncle used to go out of the country to work in France to make extra money and after about 6 months to a year he had to return home to Italy however he never forgot to bring me a chocolate bar, I was only a child at that time and I have had a deep respect for him all my life. Our lives continued while our respective families immigrated to Canada. I remember many great parties and moments that we shared. There were a great many sacrifices that our families had to endure.
Uncle Filippo will not be for gotten ,I will greatly miss him,
From his nephew Tonino
Condoglianze vivissime a Bruna Alberto Luigia..e tutta la famiglia,
