Dear Mazzulli Family,
My deepest condolences for your loss. I will always cherish the memories I had with Zia, especially the impromptu midday coffee visits where we shared stories and laughed with Zio and the kids. Dear Zio, Natalie, John, Loriann, and Adele,
My deepest condolences for your loss. I will always remember the times we shared together, laughing, and telling stories. Whether it was getting together for Christmas Eve, dressing up for Zia’s birthday, or just stopping by for coffee, Zia always welcomed us with open arms and a smile. She will be remembered for her generosity, kindness, and strength. Zia will always have a special place in my heart.
Love,
Marc
I am sorry it has taken me so long to write something; I was just trying to find the words to say.
As I think about all the memories I have of Genny: dinners, brunches, holidays, etc. the thing I remember most is in every single one she is smiling (or shaking her head at Lou because he said something inappropriate). You would never know something was wrong; she was an incredibly strong woman.
Another thing that I will always remember is that Genny gave me a scarf as a gift. I couldn’t remember exactly when Genny gave it to me or why; all I know is that I’ve had it for years and wear it every winter. After talking with Danielle (her memory is better than mine), it turns out that Genny gave me the scarf as a gift the first time I celebrated Christmas with all the cousins in Genny’s and Lou’s basement. Genny gave me the scarf because she wanted me (Danielle’s boyfriend at the time) to have something to open, to not be left out, and maybe to even feel like part of the family. That just speaks to the kind of person Genny was; thoughtful, caring, generous, and of course welcoming.
Genny, from the first time we ever met, you made me feel like family, which is why it feels like Danielle isn’t the only one out of the two of us who lost a zia.
Lou, Natalie, John, Loriann, and Adele I am so sorry for your loss; my thoughts and prayers are with you always.
