It is with deeply saddened hearts that we share the news that our beloved Georgette Dally passed away peacefully at her home, surrounded by her family, on November 29, 2024. 

elevated RuhGb Born on August 4, 1941 in Haifa, Palestine, to the late Teresa and Youssef Tahan, she was predeceased by her brothers Elias, Jamil and Subhi, and her sisters Mary, Margaret and Eugenie.   She is survived and dearly missed by her husband of 58 years Youssef, her children, Ghassan (Dalia), Rima (Ian), Wissam, Roba (Roland) and Aiman (Daisy), and her grandchildren Yasmine, Youssef, Miah, Madeline and Matteo.

elevated RuhGb Georgette married in 1966 and moved to Ain Ebel in Southern Lebanon where she was blessed with five children.  Together with her husband, she made the decision to leave everything behind and move to Canada in 1991 to ensure a safe and fulfilling future for her children.  Georgette dedicated her life to her children and grandchildren.  She often said that being a mother, and later a grandmother, were her greatest achievements and source of pride.  Her mission in life was always to protect them, provide for them, and set them up for success.  

elevated RuhGb Georgette was known for her boundless love and her extraordinary culinary talent.  Her love for cooking extended beyond the confines of her kitchen.  It was a way for her to express her affection to family and friends. Many will remember gathering around her table, sharing stories and laughter while enjoying her delicious meals. She had a gift for bringing people together, and her hospitality knew no bounds.

elevated RuhGb Family and Friends will be received on Tuesday, December 3, 2024 at 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm at the Assumption Catholic Funeral Home and Cemetery, 6933 Tomken Rd, in Mississauga.  A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, December 4, 2024, at 11:am at the funeral home chapel followed by the burial ceremony.  A reception will follow at the funeral home hall.
