elevated yk3tN Obituary
elevated yk3tN On April 2, 2022, Giuseppina Grappasonno passed away peacefully, at the age of 92, surrounded by her loving family.
elevated yk3tN Beloved wife of 56 years to the late Edmondo, loving mother to Ivano (Lidia) and Maria (the late husband Donald), proud Nonna to Brittany and Amanda. Sister to the late Felichette, Gabriello, Pascalino, and will also be missed by many special nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
elevated yk3tN Giuseppina will always be remembered for her contagious smile, warm heart and her gourmet Italian meals. She had a passion for cooking and could always be found in the kitchen cooking up a storm for her family and friends to enjoy. She never allowed food to go to waste, especially by her granddaughters.
elevated yk3tN Giuseppina enjoyed her working years at Laura Secord. Her children recall fond memories of coming home to endless amounts of chocolate that filled their cantina.
elevated yk3tN She loved to spend her summers with her granddaughters and enjoyed taking them to Riverdale Park and bringing them both for ice cream and doughnuts on the Danforth.
elevated yk3tN Those who lived on Millbrook would remember Giuseppina as a staple to their community. Everyone who passed by her home knew her and would always stop by to say hello. She was always such a warm and welcoming woman, who cared for people deeply.
elevated yk3tN An extended gratitude to the devoted nurses and support staff who cared for Giuseppina for the past 10 years at Houses of Providence, Spruce Wing second floor. Your patience, care and support will always be remembered and appreciated.
elevated yk3tN If desired, donations can be made to The Houses of Providence.

We are so sorry for your loss. What a beautiful tribute to a beautiful woman. It was an honour and pleasure to have known her. She always made people feel welcome with her warm smile and kind words. May she Rest In Peace and live on through your wonderful memories. She will be missed.
My sincerest condolences my dear friends Ivano, Lidia, and Maria, and to Britanny and Amanda, and all of your extended family.
Josie, as we all knew your mom at the Houses of Providence exuded immense love and care for you all and her neighbours that included my mom and dad who she sang Italian songs with, attended mass with, shared Timbits and coffee with, played bingo to win, with, and attended residents councils as both moms told the higher ups to get their act together over better food and bedside care! She (they) said it like it is!
She captured my heart with her caring ways as I sat through many stories and gentle, but firm, pronouncements on life’s ways. It was hard sometimes to have two moms lecture me. In stereo! LoL!
Ivano, I was so happy to have shared a final moment with your mom and yourself on Remembrance Day 2021. We three were so happy. Remember how much she enjoyed her heart shaped cake!
Let’s make it an annual trek to the Houses in honour of our parents!
Hail to Giuseppina! (Trumpets blaring joyously).
Cheers to a lady with a big HEART for all, all her life!
Always happy no matter her circumstance.
What a beautiful lesson indeed!
I am deeply saddened by her passing, relieved only to know she now occupies a special place in His Kingdom and together with your dad and all, get to enjoy eternal life away from the joys and trials of daily life.
May her soul rest in peace and may perpetual light shine upon her wonderful heart, forever.
Blessings and prayers to Our Lady of Fatima and St. Anthony of Padua.
Our deepest condolences to Grappasonno family for the loss of their beloved mother .
May she rest in peace in the company of God and the angels
Our prayers and thoughts are with you .
Our deepest condolences to Mary, Brittany and Amanda during this difficult time. May she rest in peace.
Dear Ivano, Maria and family,
I will always remember your mom as a strong determined woman. Enjoyed her stories of life in Italy, coming to Canada, saving for a house and Italian cooking.
We shared many good moments during my visits to Providence caring for my mom.
May you find comfort in your memories.
Sincerely,
Dorothy Markle
