elevated iCtYc Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our mother Helen Kaye (nee Rzepiela) on Monday, July 29, 2024. Helen was 89 years old, born on May 12th 1935, in Toronto, Ontario to Frank and Emily Rzepiela. Helen passed peacefully surrounded by her sons who cherished her.
elevated iCtYc Helen was a devoted wife of 68 years to the late John Kaye (Kozlowski). They were married in Toronto on October 1, 1955 and raised three boys. Helen also had a career working at Sterling Drugs in Aurora from the mid 70’s until her retirement.
elevated iCtYc A loving mother to Bob (Kelly), Rick (Terry) and Dan (Christine), grandmother to Joshua (Weronika), Rachel (Joshua), Mackenzie, Carissa (Jamie), Jonathan (Alexandra), Emily (Ace) and Nicole (T.J.), Great-grandmother to Elouise, Esther and Kaia. Her positive, loving impact on all of our families is immeasurable and her legacy will live on for generations to come.
elevated iCtYc Helen was a devoted mother to her boys and grandchildren. There isn’t anything she wouldn’t do for her family. In keeping with her way of life and to keep her memory in our hearts, we ask that, in lieu of flowers or donations, you make a difference in someone’s life by taking part in at least one act of kindness. No matter how big or small the gesture, that is something that would have made Helen smile.

This is such a wonderful celebration of a life well lived, surrounded by love and family. She was the true embodiment of a matriarch and her memory will be cherished. Sending all my love, see you all on the 15th.
Our family is deeply saddened, by the passing of our beloved Auntie Helen. All the fun times we had around the dinner table in Newmarket. We were always welcomed with her loving hugs and kisses. She was a force in my life growing up. A phone call away if I needed someone to talk to.
You’ll be missed and loved and, with Uncle John, will hold places in our hearts forever.

When I met this lady 41 years ago I thought to my then 19 year old self, “what a vibrant and beautiful woman”. I want to be just like her!” I felt so lucky to become part of the family and be loved unconditionally by both mom and dad. There are so many happy memories, too many to recount here, from trips taken together with the grandkids to time spent in Georgetown in mom’s favourite backyard. Her legacy lives on in her much adored grandchildren and great grandchildren. Mom, we will miss you so very much but will never forget the love. Kaia especially will know of you in the stories passed down from all of us. Rest in peace with dad. Our prayers and love for will multiply daily and forever.

Auntie Helen, I can’t believe it was 9 years ago, August 15 2015, we were all together at my wedding. It seems like yesterday both you and Uncle Johnny were sitting at the table with my parents. We were so blessed to have you both there on our special day. Your laugh, beautiful smile and kind heart will always be remembered. I will be thinking of you all tomorrow, remembering these special moments. You are now in heaven with Uncle Johnny and I know Wanda and Chester are with you, smiling down on us. My next act of kindness is surely devoted to you! <3 Love Always
Shannon, Brendan and the boys!
Our deepest condolences to the whole family.
Auntie Helen was one of the nicest, most beautiful people. She was a true gem and I will carry very fond memories of her always.
