elevated QdHK0 With profound sadness and tremendous sorrow the family of Helen Mary Elizabeth (Henderson) Banna announce her passing on January 14th, 2021 at the age of 67. Helen is survived by her loving husband Souhail and her three sons Peter (Patricia), Paul (Ivy) and Robert (Jennifer). Devoted Nana to Greyson, Charlie, Klayton and Hayden. She is also survived by her only sister and best friend Roberta Smith (Ken). Helen had a wonderful zest for life and positive can-do attitude. Her presence had a way of brightening even the darkest of days. Her reach has no bounds as she has family and friends from all over the world. Helen was an active member of the Order of the Eastern Star, Valley Chapter #297, Caledon, Ontario. She will be dearly missed by all of her family, friends and her Chapter brothers and sisters. As expressions of sympathy and in lieu of flowers donations to the Arthritis Society or The Covenant House would be greatly appreciated by the family. A celebration of Helen’s life will be held in the near future. But for now we leave you with this, “Nana na na, Nana na na, hey hey hey, goodbye.”
She left way to soon, blessings and hugs to her family and friends.

Helen,
You were the light in so many lives. You helped without question and often gave without return. Your passion for life and those you loved was endless.
Our paths crossed through work but our friendship grew out of respect and trust in each other. We kept each other grounded, we supported each other through ups and downs, through thick and thin and we could tell each other as it was. We were joined at the hip. I will truly miss all the fun, laughter and memories that we shared together.
“A good friend is hard to find, hard to lose and hard to forget”
Cheers to you my friend!
Lynda

My thoughts are with you and the family. I was lucky to have talked to Helen before Christmas. We reminisced about times at The Davis Centre and about her family. Helen’s grandchildren were the apple of her eye. You could hear all the love she had for them. I will always remember Helen’s passion for our residents and Rod Stewart. Auld Lang Syne my friend.
My heart aches for you and your family. It has been a pleasure knowing Helen for many years through work. Her passion for working with the elderly, giving back to her community and love for her family was always a priority in life! May she rest in peace.
I want to offer my condolences to Helen’s family. I knew Helen for many years through our work at the Region of Peel working with her and for a short time her father. Helen loved life living it to the fullest and was passionate about everything she did. She spoke often and lovingly about her family. It was obvious that she loved working with the elderly working tirelessly to bring them joy and entertainment. Always eager to please she volunteered to help out wherever needed. She had a great sense of humour and wonderful laugh which I’ll never forget. I was very sad to hear of her passing and know that she will be missed by her family and friends. May she Rest In Peace.

I came to know Helen at the Region of Peel and her work at the Davis Centre. In her presence you could feel her passion and joy in work and in life! It seems so surreal to hear this sad news during such a difficult time in the world. You will be missed Helen – by all the people you’ve touched in so many amazing ways. Rest in peace.
On behalf of the Helping Hands Volunteers at the Davis centre, we offer our deepest sympathy to Souhail and family. Helen, YOU will be missed. Before Retiring Helen was a bright light tip-tapping through the halls of the centre, her smile, her hugs, her friendly and comforting taps on the shoulders of every resident. Helen’s passion was making it a “Home” for everybody there. She worked tirelessly with our fundraising, directing the funds to the best use of the Residents. She connected each Volunteers talent to an individual that would benefit the most.
Rest in Peace Helen
