elevated uhkRQ TORTOLO, Ida Mary – November 19, 1929 – With great sadness we announce the passing of Ida Tortolo (née Gambin) on May the 28th, 2024. Beloved wife of Enzo Tortolo (predeceased). Loving mother and mother-in-law of Paula and Michael Callahan, Mary and John Trevisan, Robert Tortolo and Maureen Zunti, and Diane and David Gregoris. Loving Nonna of Kira and Michael Raybould, Katie and Joel Rombough, Matthew Trevisan and Andréa Stanger, Nicholas and Sydney Trevisan, Jessica Trevisan, Chloé Tortolo and Charles Beauregard-Greusard, Lashia Jones and Andrew Sharp, Kent Jones, Dane and Carolyn Gregoris, Jordan Gregoris and Charlotte Fisher, Luke Gregoris and Hannah Begna. Adored GG of Taylor Raybould, Bria Rombough, Julian, Gabriel (predeceased), and Thomas Trevisan, Teddy, Elle and Benjamin Trevisan, Enzo Greusard, and Lana and Julia Sharp-Jones. Loving sister and sister in law of Madeline Serratore and Olga Tortolo.
elevated uhkRQ Ida deeply loved Enzo, her family and her friends. She loved hosting a good party, and vacationing in Florida and Italy. She found joy in sewing, knitting, crocheting, painting and gardening. She loved playing scrabble and euchre, and baking and cooking for everyone. In recent years, she stayed engaged by watching Netflix, Googling new recipes, browsing Instagram, and Facetiming with her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. Ida had tremendous strength and resilience, and was an inspiration for anyone who knew her.
elevated uhkRQ The family will receive friends at Holy Cross Funeral Home from 5-8pm on Thursday May 30th at 211 Langstaff Rd East, Thornhill ON, L3T 3Z2. A mass of Christian Burial will take place within the funeral home in The Chapel of St. Joseph on Friday, May 31st at 9am.
