elevated icr2A Joan Rawluk passed away peacefully on October 11, 2021 with her children Kim and Kevin (Krista) by her side, knowing she was loved deeply by so many. She refused to be defined by her battle with cancer, living with a grace and optimism that inspired those around her. Joan gave her whole heart to her kids and was always there for them — from karate classes and Girl Guides all the way through law school and career changes. She was everything to them — master chef, proofreader, shopping buddy, secret-keeper, best friend, and more.
elevated icr2A She treasured her large family, her brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews, and her many close friends. Joan will be remembered for her large heart and giving nature, adventurous spirit, and her love of a good meal and Dairy Queen cake. Although we miss Joan more than words can say, we know she has been reunited with her beloved husband, Roy, and that they have already started their next adventure.
elevated icr2A We love you, Mom. Always and forever together.

Every word you so eloquently wrote about your mother is true. Joan was the most selfless, principled woman I know and I shall ever more be grateful for our friendship.
Kim, Kevin and Krista, I’m so sorry for your loss. Joan Rawluk was such a force to be reckoned with. Back in our university days, Kim and I noticed that there was a flood in the basement of her grandma’s home. Being the completely helpless kids that we were, we had no clue what to do. There, armed with a bucket in one hand and a phone in the other, Kim called her mom to tell her what was happening. Not surprisingly, Joan came to the rescue and saved the day! I will always remember her as someone who would not hesitate to roll up her sleeves to get the job — any job — done. She will be missed. My condolences to the Rawluk family.
Kevin, Krista and family so sorry for your loss!
Kev, Krysta and Kim, my condolences on your loss. Hoping you get through this difficult time with each and cherish your memories of Joan forever.
We want to send our dearest condolences to Kevin, Krista and Kim. We only had the pleasure of meeting Joan a few times but every time was a pleasure. She will be sadly missed but forever in our hearts.
Kim, Kevin and Krista, With deepest sympathy of the passing of your beloved mother Joan. May memories of happy times you shared with your parents sustain you through the coming days.

Aunt Joan has always been a shining beacon of love and joy in our lives. We have been so blessed to be recipients of her love and to witness first hand what an amazing parent she has been to Kim & Kevin. Uncle Roy and Aunt Joan have set a wonderful example for us to follow; thank you.
Although she may not be physically here, we know that every beam of sunshine will remind us of her love, her laughter and her beautiful smile.
