We are deeply saddened to announce the passing of our beloved father and husband Joseph Chetcuti who peacefully passed away at the age of 89 on March 6, 2023 surrounded by his loving family.
elevated Wa2CC Joseph was born in St. Paul’s Bay, Malta to Emanuel & Victoria on August 22, 1933. He grew up in St. Paul’s Bay, Malta. Joseph met the love of his life, Mary, and they were married on November 30, 1957. They shared 65 wonderful years of marriage and raised eight beautiful children together and he worked tirelessly to provide for his family.
elevated Wa2CC Joseph was a devoted family man who always put his loved ones first. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends, and his love for them was unconditional. He was a kind, caring, and selfless man who touched the lives of everyone he met.
elevated Wa2CC Joseph will be deeply missed by his wife Mary, his children Victor (Kelly), Anna (Raymond), Simone (Donovan), late Mark, Theresa (George), Sarah (Evan), Paul (Romina) and Martha (Kenneth), his grandchildren Christine, Jason (Sohay), Jordan (Tiziana), Sarah, Francesca (Juan Paul), Noah, Justin, Sebastian, Celine, Matthew, Joseph, John and Jake, his great-grandchildren, Kayla, Ashley, Zayah and Jacob, his siblings late Doris, Valente, Tony, France, Carmen, Victoria and Paul and all who knew and loved him.
elevated Wa2CC The funeral service will be held on Saturday, March 11, 2023, at 9:00 a.m. at the Chapel of St. Joseph, Holy Cross Catholic Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation and Kidney Foundation of Canada.

A wonderful man who was most happy with his loving wife and children by his side. We are fortunate to have known him. May God Rest His Soul and bring comfort to his wife, Mary.

So deeply saddened to learn about our dear friend Joe’s passing. We have soooo many fond memories of Joe. He was such a kind hearted and devoted husband, father and friend. Cherished by all who were fortunate to have known him. I’ll always remember Joe saying to anyone within earshot and with a smile on his face “you can take the man out of Malta, but you can’t take Malta out of the man”. Rest easy dear friend!!!
Very true! Thank you to the Stanley family, you were all a big part of our lives and always remember Cheryl hanging out with Simone and Rob pulling up to the house with his 1978 blue Camero Z28 and my brother Victor with his 1978 cherry red Camero Z28. As a kid I was in heaven to see these cars side by side.
Dear Stanley family, we appreciate you and your kind heartfelt words. It brings us joy knowing that our father has touched so many in such a loving way. He certainly was a fun loving character and we will miss him so. Thank you all from the bottom of our hearts.
