elevated lBARQ Obituary
elevated lBARQ It is with sad hearts that we announce the passing away of our mother, Catherine Wong Kam So, on October 29, 2024.
elevated lBARQ It is with grateful hearts that we thank God for blessing her with 99 fulfilling and happy long years.
elevated lBARQ Catherine Wong Kam So is born the oldest of three children in the Kwok family on January 8, 1925 in China. She is a most loving mother of 7 children. She has lived in Canton, Hong Kong and the Canadian cities of Calgary, Regina, London, Edmonton and Toronto. She has travelled to many parts of the world with her children and grandchildren after the death of her spouse, Peter Wong Ben in 1990. She has built lots of wonderful memories. She loves watching Chinese Opera, singing Karaoke and being around young children.
elevated lBARQ She has left behind her 7 children (5 boys and 2 girls) and their spouses, 13 grandchildren (9 boys and 4 girls) and their spouses, and 17 great grandchildren (8 boys and 9 girls).
elevated lBARQ Since she is a kind-hearted and caring person, giving of herself and her time unselfishly, and is so devoted to her family, she is greatly missed by all who count themselves blessed to have called her “Mom,” “Grandma Rose,” “Great Grandma Rose.”
elevated lBARQ She is a beautiful model of the Lord’s love for us. We find consolation in our hope of re-uniting with her one day in our heavenly home. May she enjoy her eternal rest in the perpetual light!

Dear Paternal Aunt (姑媽),
We bid you farewell with a heart full of memories and gratitude. You have always been the embodiment of gentleness, elegance, and beauty in our lives. From as far back as I can remember, your kindness and care were endless, and you showed us how to live with patience and grace. Your education and refined manner made you a woman of both wisdom and warmth, someone we deeply admired.
I still remember how, as a child, you would take me out for dim sum and buy me toys, bringing me pure joy. And when I was once hospitalized, you came to visit me with toys in hand; your presence chased away my fears and made me feel safe and loved. You gave me not only warmth but also the comfort of knowing you were always there for me.
Even when you were back in Hong Kong, though we had fewer chances to meet, each reunion was filled with love. You would take time to have meals with us, capturing memories with photos, and those moments have become treasures in my heart.
Today, although we can no longer see your face, your love will forever be with us. Aunt, we will always remember and love you. You will live on in our hearts and be the strength that guides us forward.
Dear Paternal Aunt 姑媽Rest in peace,
Shan Shan
