Kenny, I am unsure if I am correct but I dare to say you were’ the apple’ of Daddy’s eyes. Daddy really loved you a lot, maybe because you were the last of the eight children in our family.
You were entering your teens when I graduated from secondary school in 1970 so there is a nine years difference between us. Growing up we had some special moments together but honestly speaking, I cannot say that I was always there for you, as after graduation, I worked a bit in San Fernando, then in Port of Spain and left for Montreal in 1974. There were moments when I returned home for Christmas vacation but we had few chances together. My memory is short but I think the most time we spent together as adults was at Marge’s home in 2018 when I was visiting Marmee there. It was a brief visit but enough for me to understand and thank God for who you are.
In 2018, it was like this, I arrived at Toronto airport coming from Hong Kong but had an overnight stopover in Vancouver. You were waiting for me at one terminal but I was at another. I was there waiting for quite some time and then at last, I spotted you coming around the corner with your walker. Boy! Was I ever overjoyed to see you! No rush, no haste. Your calm already put me at ease. I was happy that we had the occasion to be together for a few days. While Marge was at work, we accompanied Marmee there, watched various kids’ educational programmes, Marmee’s favorite programme, ‘Price is Right’, played Uno with her. You had the chance to enjoy my simple cuisine but you did your part too, your chores. No fuss, no tension. You had your doctor’s appointment and you helped me make arrangement s to go with you but then I had to cancel out at the last minute as Marmee would have been home alone. You understood and coolly accepted this change of plans.
You always had a very mild, sweet and kind temperament. I always felt at peace with you around. How much we can learn from you! You accepted all that the other said or did to you, without saying much but sometimes there was a reply from you that one might never expect.
In these last few days of your earthly journey, via Whatsapp video, I had the chance to see, talk, sing and pray with you. You looked so peaceful, surrendered to God’s Holy Will and to the design of God’s love on you. It aches me to see you go so young but then I remember this is our gift to God, your life. All I can say – God chose you because you were ready, after all the sufferings you endured. I thank God for the gift of your life and thank you for all the love and care which you gave me and our family, the times we were together. May you enjoy the bliss of Heaven forever in God’s embrace with Our Blessed Mother always at your side and where you will meet Daddy and Andrew too! Intercede for us from above that we will courageously finish our journey on earth like you, a hero in God’s eyes!

My deepest condolences to Chang family specially to Annette and Margret . I want to share some memories. I can say that Mr Kennedy has given me the opportunity to get into the new family in canada. He is one of them whom I cared about and so calm and good sense of humour. We had laughed and celebrated birthday together with sisters and had a great moments lived together. I know he loves Spider-Man more than anything. He loves to eat. I can say that I enjoyed being with him and the family. He (My brother) will be always there in my memories forever.

I will always remember Kenny smiling and laughing. There was never any frown or a quarrel from him. He was always kind and helpful to my family and I. I know Kenny’s siblings were very protective of him, as he was the baby of the family.
The last time I saw Kenny was when he visited Trinidad with Ma Ma Sylvia, Margaret and Annette. I could not believe my ears, when I got that phone call, saying they were in Trinidad. I did not waste any time to visit them.
Albert and I were greeted with Kenny’s infectious smile and laughter, as if drawing you into a full embrace this never changed with him. The only thing that had changed was instead of standing; Kenny was sitting in a wheel chair. That did not stop Kenny from being himself, joking, laughing and carrying on a good conversation. The little time was well spent with Kenny and his siblings.
Kenny will be missed by everyone, taken up by the Heavenly Angels to meet the Heavenly Father, where to be reunited with Pa Pa Morris and Loving Brother Andrew.
