elevated cnUiX Khuê Nguyễn
elevated cnUiX January 15, 1935 – August 29, 2022
elevated cnUiX It is with great sadness that the family of Khuê Nguyễn announce his passing on Monday, August 29, 2022, at the age of 87. Khuê will be lovingly remembered by Diep, his wife of 58 years and his children, Trang, Bảo (Veronica), Tram (Peter), Huy (Betty), James (Jill) and grandchildren Tristan, Jacob, Lauryn, Kaleigh, Lucas, Nixon, and Ellington.
elevated cnUiX He was predeceased by his parents – Khôi and Úc and sister, Bích.
elevated cnUiX Khuê was born on January 15, 1935 in Quảng Bình, Việtnam. He is an educator at heart. He started his career as a high-school history teacher in Huế and then became Deputy Director of Education at Ministry of Education when the family moved to Saigon.
elevated cnUiX In 1975, he immigrated to Canada with his family following the fall of Saigon. With a desire to create a comfortable life for his family, Khuê was faced with the challenge of starting over while in his 40s. He worked hard to make a new life for his wife and children, which required learning a new language and acquiring new skills.
elevated cnUiX Khuê loved being around his children and grandchildren. He often joked that maybe he would be lucky enough to live until his first grandchild graduated from kindergarten. We are fortunate that Khuê was able to get to know all seven of his grandchildren..well beyond kindergarten! Khuê was also deeply religious and is grateful for the many friends he made through the church.
elevated cnUiX Visitation will be on Monday, September 5, 2022, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at the Holy Cross Cemetery and Funeral home, 211 Langstaff Road. E, Thornhill, ON L3T 3Z6

Cau will be in our memories until we will meet you in heaven someday.
Rest In Peace , dear Cau !.
Cau Khue is a dedicated man to his family and his faith. He will be loved and missed by many.
May your soul be with God.
We heard the news with great sadness. May his life be remembered
as a blessing to us all!
Dave and Marilyn Manara
Other than my own siblings, I have known anh Khue for the longest time of my life; even longer than my own parents.
Anh Khue was a man of substance and exemplary characters and unwavering ethical values.
One of my earliest memories has Khue in it. I still remember being awoken from my summer afternoon nap to have Khue taking photos of me doing the twist on the veranda of our home in Hue. I must be around 5 years old or younger.
We experienced the terrors of the TET offensive in Hue in 1968, and the exhilarating feeling of relief of landing on the Midway after the torturous last minute escape from VN in 1975. We went through the hardship of adjusting to life in Toronto . Not until i am a father years later that i could appreciate the seemingly impossible task of supporting and raising a family in a strange land with strange culture and a new language…at almost the midpoint of one’s life that anh Khue carried out in such a dignified manner.
He was proud yet humble. I remember vividly how we shared one night of unaccustomed task of agriculture harvesting as a way of making extra money in the early months of our new life in Toronto.
I have learned much from Khue’s generosity and his noble life.
Thanks for being with us all these years…and many more in spirit…
Em Ut- – Dan
