It is with heavy hearts and a profound sense of loss we announce the peaceful passing of Laila Al-Yaqoub on March 20, 2025, at Mackenzie Health Hospital, at the age of 87. Reunited in Heaven with her beloved husband Basheer Jibrail Abboosh. Beloved mother of Saad, Sanna (Ayad Shamany), Ghada, Faris and Bashar (Alia Nahab). Adored nanna of Sally, Naya and Tara. Caring sister of Nora, the late Amy and Doris in Iraq and the late Firyal.
