elevated anv3p It is with heartfelt sadness that the family announces the peaceful passing of Li Pook Ho (Joseph) at the age of 98. He is survived by his beloved wife of 80 years, Marguerite Choon Lan (nee Lim Fon Kee) and his 11 children: Therese (late France), Daniel, Claude (Margaret), Lucie (Jean-Claude), Marlene (Georges), Cyril ( Natalina), Marie-Ange (Jean), Jean, Steve (Pauline), Patricia (Alain) and Bernadette (France). Cherished grandfather to Nathalie (Tom), Robert, Laura (Darryl), Karen (Marc), Jean-Marc (Hiromi), Jean-Patrick (Phoebe), Justin(Nina), Linda (Sebastien), Corinne (Brian), Stephane (Pearl), Julien (Annie), Andrew, Adrian, Kevin, Samantha, Wilhem and Audrina. Proud great grandfather to Rowan-James, Brandon, Jake, Jayden, Alessandra, Braeden, Emma, Noah, Skylar-Marc, Maddy, Sebastian, Tristan, Celeste, Kingston, the late Gabriel Matthew, Nicholas, Everly, Gabrielle, Elyse, Elaina and Aidan. He will be dearly missed by his many relatives, friends and all who knew him in Canada, USA, Mauritius, England and China.
elevated anv3p Li Pook Ho (Joseph) was a unique child, born in Moyan, China. He moved to Mauritius at the age of 14 with his uncle. In 1941 he married Marguerite (Choon Lan) Lim Fon Kee. After most of his children had moved abroad in 1969 and in the 70’s, Joseph decided to immigrate to Toronto, Canada in 1979 along with his wife and 3 younger children for a better life.
elevated anv3p Joseph was a caring and good husband and a very dedicated father. He was a very good person who never complained and was well liked by all his relatives and friends. He was very smart, skillful, creative and a hard worker. He was very religious, outgoing and adventurous. His thirst of knowledge never ended. He spent many hours in the library, self-taught English and was an avid reader. He always carried his small dictionary along with him wherever he went. He was also a well-organized person, keeping notes of every event and instructions.

Quel bel exemple!
Que le Seigneur accueille M. Joseph Li Chee Ming dans son Royaume.
Union de prières,
Teresa Wong & Laval Lam

Sincere Condolences to Marlene Georges and family. Keeping you and your family in our prayers during that difficult time.
Bon courage
Clency and Desirée
Thank you Desiree and Clency for your kind words and prayers. May God bless you all. Amen.
Pa, Your absence among the family will be greatly missed. You have been a great and loving dad all the years I spent with you until the last day when you were leaving us enjoying the last meal which Georges and I prepared for you (vegetables from our garden, chicken and manioc doux) and returning home to God, Our Heavenly Father and Creator. You accomplished the mission God had for you and you won the race. Good Job, Dad! I am proud of you. You will be forever in my heart. May God, Jesus, Our Blessed Mother Mary who celebrates her birthday today, St. Joseph (Your Patron Saint), St. Michael, St. Gabriel, St. Raphael and Nine Choirs of Angels, Blessed Pere Laval( Apostle of Mauritius), bless and protect you now and always, in Jesus name, we pray Heavenly Father God. Amen. All for the Glory of God. Amen. Alleluia. Pa, now that you are close to God, please pray for mom and all of us and the whole family whom you cherished so dearly. We love you and thank you for everything you did for mom and all of us and the whole family. Rest In Peace with Christ until we see you again. Thank you dad. Love and prayers.
Pa, even though we have tears in our eyes and sadness in our heart, we celebrate your life. You have risen to heaven, you are free to ride your bike. (The image of Dad, Happy and Smiling, riding his bike flashed in front of me when I asked him what he wants me to write about in his eulogy).
We wish you a Happy, Safe Heavenly Adventure and we know you’re keeping us company and watching over us. As I looked up to the sky yesterday, I saw God, Jesus, Mary and Joseph, Angels, A Cross and A Beautiful Bird Flying High In The Peaceful Light. Thank you for all the signs.
May You Always Be Guided By The Holy Spirit, Always Be Blessed By God And The Holy Family, And Always Be Protected By St. Michael And The Nine Choirs Of Angels. Thank You For Your Everlasting Love And Everything You’ve Done For Us. Until We Meet Again, Love You Forever, Pa/Coung Coung. May You Have Eternal Peace And Always Be Surrounded By Perpetual Light!!!” 🙏❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️🙏
Steve, Pauline and Family: Dad, thank you for your hard work and everything you have done for us, your love and devotion to have made us become the person that we are today. We are very proud for everything that you have accomplished during your long life and your 80 years of marriage with mom and we will always cherish all the memories that we have shared together. The light of your love has and will always shine on us and we will always feel your comforting presence in every sad and/or happy moment of our lives. You will always be in our thoughts and prayers and will ensure that your legacy continues.
May God rest your soul in peace and let perpetual light shine upon you.
Gone are the days we used to share. But in our hearts you are always there. The gates of memory will never close. We miss you more than anyone knows with tender love. We who love you will never forget with our deepest gratitude and eternal love. Till we meet again, we love you Dad. May your soul rest in peace. Amen
Dad, not a day goes by that I don’t think about you. I am so thankful for all the good memories we shared together with Jean, Jean-Patrick, Phoebe, Jean-Sebastian, Tristan, Celeste, Kingston, Corinne, Brian, Marie-Gabrielle and Elyse.
As Dad, Coung Coung and Coung Tai, you were very much loved by the three generations. We’ll miss you. I am very lucky to have had you as a Dad who was a loving and caring provider for your wife and children.
Believing in education, you made sure that all your 11 (eleven) children had a good education. We all remember you carrying a dictionary with you to always learn new words to improve your vocabulary. I still remember you made breakfast for us before going to school.
Thank you Dad for your love and care. Rest in peace! God bless and keep you in His care, till we meet again.
Love Forever ❤
Your daughter Marie-Ange (Lee Lan, Momoy).
