elevated NQj13 It is with deeply saddened hearts that we share the news that Liliana passed away peacefully on March 9, 2025.
elevated NQj13 Born November 22, 1938, in Sao Miguel, Azores to the late Maria and Jose. She is survived by her husband Jaime, daughter Susan, son Rui and his wife Sandy, granddaughters Danielle, Sierra, Leah, Clare, and sister Noelia. She will be dearly missed.
elevated NQj13 Liliana and Jaime came to Canada in 1966. They lived in Toronto until moving to Mississauga in 1975. Liliana spent her life giving. She gave all her heart to her husband Jaime, her children and her beloved grandchildren. She never turned down an opportunity to help family members and friends. She gave all of her love to her beloved grandchildren, Sierra, Danielle, Leah and Clare. They are her pride and joy. She will be in their and all our hearts forever.
elevated NQj13 She enjoyed attending church, swimming, reading and travelling and most of all loved to spend time with her family. She loved tending to the flowers on her balcony garden and spending quiet time with Jaime. She loved sharing stories and laughs with her sister Noelia.
elevated NQj13 Many thanks to all the caring nurses and aids, at AgeCare Glen Oaks. They ensured that Liliana’s final years were the best that they could be.
elevated NQj13 In memory of Liliana, and in lieu of flowers, donations can be made in her honor to Parkinson Canada and the Alzheimer Society of Canada .
My condolences to Rui, Sandy, Clare, and the rest of the Malhinha family. I remember many Christmas Eve parties with Liliana in attendance at my aunt and uncle’s house. I remember a sweet woman who would always say hello and ask me how I was doing and what I was up to. I know she will be missed.

My sincere condolences. I have so many fond memories dating back so many years… countless hours spent at the house on Windjammer, trips to the cottage, Christmas Eve stopovers…
I hadn’t seen her in a few years, but I always think of her and Jaime fondly.
She will be greatly missed but never forgotten.
