elevated vslpD Obituary

elevated vslpD With sadness for the loss and pride for a life well lived, the children and grandchildren of Lolita Misa announce her passing on October 3rd. Mom, Grandma or Ate Pan, as she was known to her loved ones, fought health issues like kidney, heart and lung disease for thirty years with inspiring determination. She lived to see her family grow and thrive.

elevated vslpD In 1974, to create a better life for her young family, Lolita moved to Toronto with her three oldest children where she soon became a single mother. She was blessed to meet Don Robitaille, “Uncle Don”. Together, they reunited the family in Mississauga in 1977. In 1981, the Misas moved to Timmins, which became a warm, fulfilling home. Life’s challenges were no match for Lolita. Her victories live on in the success her children have achieved in every field they pursued, and in the prosperity of their families.

elevated vslpD Lolita is survived by her children Relita Misa Hagberg, Raul Misa (Janice Del Bel), Rommel Misa (Kristen Shewen), Reynaldo Misa, Rodel Misa (Jiyoun Sung) and grandchildren Ryan Hagberg, Ben Hagberg (Amanda Nistico), Nolan Misa, Avery Misa, Holly Misa, Macey Misa, Riley Misa, and Ryder Misa, siblings Milagros C. Libios (Romey), Rudy Canlas ( Emelia), Edelberto Canlas (Teresita) , Angelina Canlas Saturno, Rosario Canlas Obligar, Gerry Canlas (Daisy), Gil Canlas (Elvira), Rick Canlas (Desiree), Sergio Canlas, Paul Canlas (Avelina and Froilan Canlas (Alma). Lolita is also survived by too many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends to name. She is predeceased by parents Maria and Domingo Canlas, husband Don Robitaille, siblings Domingo Canlas Jr, Jaime Canlas, Eloy Canlas, and Auntie Rosita Canlas and son-in-law David Hagberg.

elevated vslpD The family thanks Dr. Edward Davies, Dr. Paul Nijmeh and the transplant team at Toronto General Hospital for giving Lolita more time with her loved ones. Thanks also go out to the support of her friends who contributed to her quality of life.
