It is with great sadness and heavy hearts that we say goodbye to Louie, after his sudden passing on June 1, 2024, at the age of 56.
elevated U3rbe Louie was a loving husband of 30 years to Nella and a caring and devoted father to Matthew and Adriana. He will be forever missed by his brothers, Giannicola and Santino, his brothers and sisters in law, and all of his nieces and nephews. He is now reunited in Heaven with his beloved parents, Ferdinando and Angelina.
elevated U3rbe Louie lived a life filled with adventure. He had a passion for the outdoors, spending much of his free time at our family cottage in nature or cycling and hiking with friends. He loved to travel and explore new places – most recently, Louie and Nella embarked on the exciting adventure of moving to the United Arab Emirates.
elevated U3rbe Louie was the foodie and chef of the family. Many of our favorite memories are centered around his home cooked meals. He had a love of learning and passion for education. This, along with his unwavering work ethic, propelled his career, and inspired his children to follow in his footsteps. He was well known by friends and family for his wise advice and kind demeanor.

I am so truly sad for your loss. Louie was a friend, a colleague and a kind man. I will miss him and his caring and thoughtful ways. He is gone way too soon. Please accept my condolences.

Nella and family – this is absolutely heartbreaking news. I worked with Louie for many years. His kindness, his passion for his family and his adventures, and his collaboration and hard work with his colleagues stands out for me. And his great smile. I can’t believe he is gone. We were deeply saddened to learn of Louie’s passing.
Our relationship was born via our mutual involvement in the commercial real estate sector. One thing is for certain, Louie was universally respected in the asset class and always carried himself with great care, wisdom and honesty with his co-workers and clients alike.
The marketplace at large trusted Louie and this trust was never broken. Most recently, Louie took the time to welcome my son who recently moved to Dubai. In typical Louie fashion, he offered both guidance and support and gave my son the confidence to move forward in his new world.
We wish to express our sincere condolences to Nella, Matthew, Adriana and his entire family. Louie was an extraordinary gentleman and set the bar high in all respects. I for one will always cherish our relationship.

It was only April that Louie and I sat together at a restaurant in Lisbon, sipping some wine and trading stories of our recent adventures: his new home in the UAE and mine in France. I was one of Louie’s profs at Schulich when he did his MBA and we stayed in touch thereafter. Louie was a good guy and one I truly enjoyed seeing grow as a human being. He went from being a really bright but somewhat impatient young man who did not suffer fools gladly to a generous, thoughtful, and genuinely kind person. Louie was always happy to contribute to the School, whether as a mentor to students or as guest lecturer, a service he performed at my request several times. I was so sorry to hear of his passing. My deepest condolences to his family.
