elevated RFa59 Pantusa, Luigina – Passed away peacefully at home with her loving family by her side on January 29, 2021 after a courageous battle. Adored wife of Antonio for over 58 years. Beloved mother of Salvatore (Adele), Giovanna (the late Philip), and Sabrina (Nino). Cherished Nonna of Olivia, Briana, Gianluca, Michaela, and Simona. Dear sister to Maria, Rita, Renato, Francesco, and Lidia. Will be missed by many sister and brother in laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and all who knew her.
elevated RFa59 Luigina Pantusa was a woman with an enormous heart, full of constant compassion and empathy for others. A courageous woman who, at an early age, travelled the long journey from Italy alone, leaving behind her parents and family in order to marry her true love. She worked tremendously hard to build a beautiful life, with family always being her priority and greatest joy. Luigina was an incredible angel in the shape of a wife, mother and grandmother full of gentleness, devotion and love. Her radiant soul exuded a gentleness that made her incredibly adored by all those who met her. She welcomed them into her life with love, kindness, warmth and simple gestures of a smile, a small plate of her famous delectable cookies, a delicious meal, or hand-crafted tailored garments made from the heart. With an abundance of strength, she battled many hardships yet always stayed true to her spirit of light and grace. Now, a beautiful guardian angel has undoubtedly allowed heaven to shine a little brighter! She will be forever missed by all who are heart broken by her absence but never forgotten. Her values, life lessons, humbleness, graciousness and compassion will forever be kept alive by her children, grandchildren and those who were blessed to have met her. Until we meet again, may her soul rest in peace.
elevated RFa59 Due to COVID-19, a private funeral will be held at Holy Cross Catholic Funeral Home on Thursday, February 4. Entombment to follow at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations made to Parkinson’s Canada or the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society would be appreciated by the family.
