elevated IXsTg Magdalena Iwona Gidziela, (nee Trybek), a beloved mother, grandmother, and an extraordinary woman, passed away peacefully with family and friends by her side, in Toronto, Ontario on September 23, 2023. She was born on May 9, 1955, in the beautiful city of Częstochowa, Poland. Magdalena’s life was a testament to resilience, compassion, and the power of love.

elevated IXsTg Throughout her life, Magdalena faced immense grief and pain, starting with the loss of her mother at the tender age of 11. Despite such early heartbreak, she exemplified strength and perseverance, becoming a beacon of hope for those around her. Tragically, Magdalena also experienced the devastating loss of her son, Filip, who was taken from her within an hour of birth. Though these trials could have left her bitter, Magdalena chose a different path, embracing the power of love and kindness.

elevated IXsTg She was also predeceased by her father, all five of her siblings, niece and nephew, and former husband. Magdalena was no stranger to suffering; yet, embraced moments, painting, memories. She laughed, and appreciated beauty of gardens and art.

elevated IXsTg Magdalena’s greatest joy in life was being a devoted mother to her beloved daughters, Paulina and Jo and her sons-in-law, Louie and Rob. She showered them with unwavering love, support, and guidance, always ensuring they felt cherished. As a grandmother to Aiden, Magdalena beamed with pride and delighted in creating cherished memories with her precious grandson always encouraging him to follow his dreams.

elevated IXsTg Beyond her roles as a mother and grandmother, she was a Godmother, an aunt, second aunt, great aunt and great great aunt with a passion for life and an infectious zest that touched everyone she encountered. She possessed an incredible talent for ping pong, achieving national recognition in Poland. Magdalena’s competitive spirit and dedication to the sport brought her immense joy and fulfillment. Her love for ping pong was a testament to her determination and commitment to excellence.

elevated IXsTg Magdalena’s heart was as generous as her spirit was vibrant. She had a natural inclination to help others and went out of her way to make a positive impact on those around her.  Her profession as a Personal Support Worker for the sick, frail, and elderly was a true calling. Her acts of kindness were countless, leaving an indelible mark on the lives she touched. Magdalena’s compassion and selflessness truly made her one of a kind.

elevated IXsTg Today, as we mourn the loss of a remarkable woman, let us also celebrate the beautiful legacy Magdalena leaves behind. Her strength, resilience, and capacity for love serve as an inspiration to us all. May her memory forever remind us to embrace life’s joys, support one another, and find solace in the power of compassion.

elevated IXsTg Magdalena Iwona Gidziela will be deeply missed but never forgotten. She will forever remain in our hearts as an angel on Earth and now in Heaven, a shining beacon of love, kindness, and unwavering spirit.
