elevated txZR2 It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of our beloved mother, Manda Petrovic on May 16, 2021, Richmond Hill, in her 87th year. Beloved wife of the late Tomislav for 64 years. She is so dearly missed by her children Irene, Dubravko (Loretto) and Robert (Timea). Her greatest joy in life was to watch her grandson Jack grow into a fine young man. She was also blessed with an new grandson, Daniel, later in her life. Manda is survived by her remaining sister Jelica and nephew Branko; brother-in-law Mithad; sister-in-law Jadranka, niece Jennifer and nephew Christopher. Manda chose to come to Canada from her native Croatia for a better life for herself and her family. While there were many, many challenges and hardships along the way, she overcame them all, was forever grateful for the opportunities Canada gave her, and was proud to be a Canadian. Her lifelong focus was always on her family, and she loved nothing more than to see us all gathered around the Sunday dinner table.
elevated txZR2 Manda’s final challenge was living with dementia for the last four years. Heartfelt thanks to those who cared for Mom as she lived her final days in her retirement home. The nurses, PSWs and caregivers are truly heroes. Due to the pandemic restrictions, a private family remembrance will be held at a later date. Manda will be laid to rest with her beloved Tom at Holy Cross Cemetery. No flowers please, however the family would graciously welcome memorial donations to the Alzheimer’s Society of Canada www.alzheimer.ca or Diabetes Canada https://www.diabetes.ca/ .
