elevated UNlaN April 14, 1936 – October 21, 2022
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Mare Kosic on Friday, October 21, 2022. She is the beloved wife of the late Josip Kosic along with being the loving and self-sacrificing mother of Josip Kosic and Mihovil Kosic and proud grandmother of Milan Kosic and Michael Kosic. She will be deeply missed by all of her family and friends.
Mare Kosic was born April 14, 1936, in the village of Vrh, Croatia. She is a devout Catholic, a loyal wife and selfless friend to all who knew her. She put God first in all that she did and in her final moments St. Jude answered our prayers and awoke our mother from her unconscious state so that she could say goodbye and we could wish her a pleasant journey to see our Lord Jesus Christ and her husband and parents in heaven.
We would like to acknowledge and thank Milan Kosic and Jesha Almocera for their selfless acts of love and compassionate care as they looked after our mother for three years so that she could stay in her own home and enjoy a quality of life that can be only provided by someone who truly loves you. We would also like to send a warm thank you to Belmont House Christian Home and Crescent Hill Place Retirement Home for their compassion, respect and care; and to the medical staff at Toronto General Hospital who provided such diligent care and comfort in her final moments.
