It is with the deepest sadness that we announce the death of our dear mother Maria, in Toronto at the age of 92. She was born in Malito, Cosenza, Italy to Pietro and Luisa Fusco (nee Turco) and was the eldest of 10 children. She is predeceased by her beloved husband Pasquale Bruno in 1974. Loving mother to Ross and Peter (Silvana). Cherished grandmother to Victoria and Stefanie. Sister to Amedeo (Antonia), Jack, Fortunato (Rose), Rosetta and Frances (Jerry). Predeceased by siblings Carlo, Vanda, Gino and Paolo. Much loved aunt to many nieces and nephews.
elevated VJHyS Maria came to Canada in June 1952 and married Pasquale in July 1952. A dedicated mother and wife, Maria poured her heart into her family, offering unconditional love and unwavering support. She was the pillar of strength for her children, grandchildren and her family was the heart of her world. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Maria’s memory to Hospice Vaughan.
Heartfelt condolences to Ross and Peter and the entire Bruno/ Fusco families. Zia Maria was a sweetheart and I will always remember her kindness and her endearing smile. May she rest in Eternal Peace.
Frances, Amedeo and all. I am very sorry for the loss of your sister, Maria. She always had a beautiful smile and a welcoming heart. She brought comfort everyttime we visited. So sorry to Peter and Ross. What a beautiful lady. Beautiful smile, beautiful heart. Love to all. May she rest in peace.
