Loving mother of Lisa and Robert. Cherished grandmother of Jasper and Mika. Devoted sister of Carmelo and Paul. Adored daughter of Rosa Bordonaro and the late Corrado Bordonaro. It’s all become so real. Miss you so much my beautiful sister. You are a kind, compassionate soul. Thank you for holding my hand when I was a baby boy and for always caring about me. Love you sister. Live with joy and peace in God’s Love.
We are deeply saddened to hear of Maria’s passing.
Our condolences to the family.
Maria’s smile always lit up the room.
The love that she had for her family and friends, always unconditional .
She inspired us with her compassion and selflessness for others.
You will always be in our hearts dear cousin.
Rest in peace.
Maria, with her inherent warmth, embodied compassion in its truest sense. She possessed the rare and wonderful quality of genuinely caring about others. Her actions were not dictated by any need for recognition or reciprocation but were simply expressions of her boundless heart. She didn’t just understand people’s struggles; she felt them deeply and went above and beyond to help, often going out of her way to put a smile on someone’s face.
In our myriad interactions at CIBC, Maria’s generosity of spirit never ceased to inspire. She illuminated our workplace with her positive attitude and vivacious spirit. She was a constant reminder that kindness and empathy should be the foundation of every human interaction, be it personal or professional. In the world of finance, where numbers often overshadow people, Maria’s humanistic approach was refreshing and profoundly impactful.
Remembering Maria, we don’t just mourn the loss of a wonderful individual, but we also celebrate the beautiful life she lived, the smiles she brought to our faces, and the difference she made in our lives. Her caring nature and joyful personality have left an indelible mark on our hearts, and these memories will carry her spirit forward in our lives.
As we navigate through these challenging times, let us keep Maria’s legacy alive by striving to be as caring, empathetic, and selfless as she was. Let her life inspire us to put a smile on someone’s face, just as she always sought to do.
Maria, your absence will be deeply felt, but your spirit will continue to reside in our hearts. Thank you for the life lessons, the smiles, and the warmth you shared with us. You will forever be missed

To our beautiful first cousin Maria Scarfo or (Nucha) as the family used to call her. We can recall many a time our families have shared together. Maria always brought joy, laughter and knowledge to our gatherings. She will truly be missed. My Father Carmelo and Mother Maria(late) Dipasquale also had a special bond with the Bordanaro family.
Our deepest condolences to all the family at this time of sorrow. Maria may you rest in peace in God’s eternal love.
Love, Egidio, Luisa and Family Capovilla
To Lady Maria Carmela Scarfo,
I don’t know you personally, but I’m friends with your incredible brother, Carmelo. You both look so similar, like the female version of Mr. Carm, that I’m sure you were both stunning on the inside and out… Glad to know that you love music as well just like Carmelo! I hope you are smiling over there and at peace wherever you are on the other side of the universe… Enjoy walking on the street of heavens… 😇👼💙
Maria’s family, may God bless you all and may you remain strong….
My deepest condolences to the Scarfo and the Bordonaro Families.
Mrs Scarfo was my teacher at St Brigid’s School. I absolutely adored her and loved her as a teacher. I am so sad to hear of her passing.
Mrs Scarfo Rest in Peace. You are in my prayers.
Until we meet again
🙏🕊️❤️
