   Zia Maria was such a force of nature. So strong and independent, resilient and brave, yet generous and kind. A true entrepreneur who defied the norm and overcame so many obstacles as a woman and immigrant. She is a person we can all admire and celebrate.

   My sincere condolences to John and the rest of the family. Maria was such a nice person to take care of. She had a great sense of humor and we always had good times talking about crouching and making flowers. Will be missed. Praying for the family strength .

   Nonna B was such a remarkable woman – an entrepreneurial go-getter; a devoted mom, Nonna and family woman; a generous community member. Very welcoming and kind to me, she always had a meal, blanket or joke to share.
