elevated PtZuo It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mario Colalillo on Saturday September 4th, 2021 at the age of 88. Beloved husband of the late Antonietta, loving father to Dolores and Annamaria and son-in-law Mario Gigliozzi and the proudest Nonno to Nicholas Anthony, Lucas Julian and Natalie Antoinette.
elevated PtZuo Today a remarkable human being left this terra firma to his rightful place in heaven. Leaving an indelible mark, Mario will be forever missed. His legacy of selflessness, knowledge, wit, determination, and kindness was remarkable, but most importantly his devotion to his family. Mario’s accomplishments surpassed all his needs and wants as he became a successful business owner, working in scrap and automotive parts he helped build with unlimited stamina of perseverance and hard work. He immigrated to Canada in 1952 arriving in Halifax, Nova Scotia. Then he worked in Montreal for CN and made his way to Toronto where he met his wife Antonietta. Building his house in King City was his source of pride. His passion for landscaping and a meticulously manicured lawn was his trademark. However, his daughters and grandchildren were the driving force in all his pursuits. Dolores and Annamaria were blessed with his constant love and encouragement and when he became a widower he never faltered in the face of adversity. Nicholas, Lucas and Natalie were a beacon of hope and happiness. His love for them enveloped their upbringing and chiseled their upstanding values. His appreciation for a glass of wine, red or white, and extending his hospitality was second nature. His love to laugh and make others laugh will always be remembered. Dad, we love you and we honour you always in our hearts. Rest in peace, my beautiful daddy.
