elevated QqFNg Peacefully on October 13, 2020 Michele Gabriele Carrano passed away after a short battle with cancer. He was a devoted husband to Maria and beloved father to Pat and Angela. Loving father-in-law to Frank & Chantal. Nonno Mike adored and cherished his grandchildren Diana, Julia, Madison, Kaitlyn, Sophia and Michael. A dedicated member and volunteer with Societa Unita, Michele spent countless hours of his time helping others. His infectious smile and laugh gave others around him joy. He lived life to the fullest being ever so proud of his garden and displaying his annual Richmond Hill Bountiful Garden award. He was loved by many and will be missed by many more. Forever in our hearts. RIP

I wanted to express my deepest condolences to the Carrano family. Mike and I worked very closely at Società Unita and he was the most reliable, selfless and helpful volunteer. I knew I could always count on Mike to be at all the events and pilgrimages and do it all with a smile on his face. Given his age and circumstances, he inspired me to always do everything with passion and seeing how much he loved Maria and took care of her was the most humble act of service between a married couple I have ever witnessed. Mike would always bake a fresh batch of lemon cookies for me and make sure they were nut free. The bag increased when I got married and I think everyone around me knows Mike because of his special treats. He was a nonno to me and a friend. Life will not be the same without him but I know he will intercede for us and do even more work now with our Lord.
Thank you Mike. Thank you for all you did for your wife, your beautiful family, Società Unita, Teopoli and for humanity. I hope I can do a quarter of what you did in my lifetime.
I will remember all the good times and there will never be a St. Nick like you! May you rest in peace. Pace e amore!
