elevated o2HLF It is with profound sadness to announce the passing of Nick Albanese on November 8, 2024, at the age 89 at Harmony Hills Long Term Care. Nick lived a long rich life and died with his wife beside him after declining health over the past 16 months. Born in Campobasso Guardiaregia, Italy on July 22, 1935. He was raised in a small town where he acquired his gardening talents and love of cooking at a young age. He later immigrated with his brother John to Canada in 1956 for better opportunities.
elevated o2HLF He was a devoted husband to Betty, father to Edward and Susan (Mike), grandfather to Emily and Sara and brother to John (Mary). Nick will be fondly remembered by cousins, nephews and nieces and lifelong friends both in Canada and United States. Nick is now reunited in Heaven with his parents Emilio and Assunta Albanese, his sisters Amelia and Antonette and dear friends and family that have passed before him.
elevated o2HLF Nick loved his long walks and meeting up with friends for chats. He will be forever known for his love of cooking, his famous sauce, meatballs and pizza. He enjoyed gardening and grew vegetables and cared for the fruit trees at our family home. His gardens were plentiful, and he enjoyed sharing the vegetables and fruit he grew with others.
elevated o2HLF In lieu of flowers, the family requests that a donation be made to Alzheimer’s Society Support Services who provide dementia support to anyone touched by dementia in Toronto, whether you’re a person with dementia or their family member, friend, or caregiver.

Forever in our hearts. A kind and sweet man. A good friend and neighbor to all on Leighton Court. Rest in peace Nick. Reunited with your dear friend Luigi B.
I well rememberNick and his family from my time at St. Andrew’s Parish in Rexdale. He was a kind man, generous in his friendship and always had a very welcoming smile. My sympathies to his wife Betty, and to Eddie and Susan. May the Lord welcome with the wordswe all wish to hear: “well done good and faithful servant, now enter into the home of My Father. RIP Fr. Keith
Uncle Nick was one of a kind. He always welcomed us with the largest smile and most joyful laughter. He told great stories and loved to sing a song or two 🎶🎶 We were truly blessed to call him uncle and we will miss him dearly 🙏🙏
Dearest Betty and family. We are sorry for the loss of your devoted husband, father and grandfather. His smile and love of people was always felt when in his presence. Shared a special bond especially around the barbeque. Enjoy the eternal banquet my friend.
We are very sorry for your loss Betty and Family! Nick was a wonderful person, may he rest in peace!
With deepest sympathy to all the family. Rest in peace. Domenic and Carmela Masucci and family.
Betty & Family, we remember Nick as a good neighbour from one street over who enjoyed interacting when ever we happened to meet. We will keep all of you in our thoughts & prayers.
Uncle Nick, We have so many wonderful memories of the times we spent together.
The Good food, a lot of love and a great glass of wine.
And even though you’re no longer here, we will cherish the memories forever. I miss your laughter so much and your warm smile.
