elevated I7jEC It is with sadness that we announce the passing of Norma Nolan on January 4 at Sunnybrook Hospital. Predeceased by her parents Dr. W.J.Nolan and Frances Nolan, she will be dearly missed by her sisters Marilyn, Patricia and Catherine and by her brothers Wilfrid, Anthony and Joseph and by her nieces and nephews. Norma enjoyed her many years working at the Toronto Star until her retirement. In the years that followed she cultivated her beautiful garden and spent many hours baking delicious treats for her friends and relatives. Many thanks to the caring and attentive staff at Sunnybrook Hospital.

When Norma worked at the Toronto Star she was very conscience and extremely hard working. Sounds like she was a wonderful gardener. Sincere condolences.

My sincere condolences to all of the Nolan family. I’m devastated to hear this sad news. Norma and I still saw each other after leaving The Star. We would meet to go to movies, dinner and most recently, a walk, coffee, and a long chat. Norma would tell me about family gatherings, her nieces and nephews here and out west and what they were up to. She loved all of you and was so proud of you. I will never forget my wonderful friend.

Norma spoke of you often and loved her time with you. Now that I have your last name/and our next task is getting into her phone – I will contact you

Memories last forever.
I will never forget all the good times at the Nolan household on Sandringham Drive in Toronto. My sincere condolences to each of the family. I hope there are many rainbows ahead for each of you. Norma was a wonderful person.

Norma, I’m so sorry to hear about your passing. You and I would meet in the morning for coffee before we started our day at the Star. We had great conversations and a lot of laughs. I really enjoyed your company. When I retired, I missed our times together but often thought about you. I’m glad that you got into your gardening. I will never forget you and will always remember our mornings together. Lots of love to you and your family.
