elevated bbsw4 It is with great sadness and fondest memories that we announce the passing of Palmina Soleti on February 12th, 2024. Palmina passed away peacefully at Maple Health Centre where she was cared for and loved.

elevated bbsw4 Palmina was born on April 27th, 1932 in Cisternino, Puglia, Italy to parents Domenico and Vincenza Loparco, and is now reunited with her beloved parents and husband Angelo. She will be forever missed and cherished by her beloved children Antonia (Natale) and Enza (Michael), and was a proud and loving Nonna to Amanda (Colin), Franco (Kristen), Matthew (Michelle), Adamo (Stephanie), Charles (Sascha) and Harriet (Amir). May Palmina be the guardian angel to her great grandchildren Sophie, Jonah, Chloe, Jack and Scarlett. Palmina is reunited in heaven with her beloved parents and husband, and siblings Nicola, Cosimo (Lina), Quirico, Rosa (Mario), Giuseppe, Maria (Paolo), and in-laws Luigi (Rosina), Antonietta, Maria and Vincenza (Mario).

elevated bbsw4 She will be dearly missed by her sister Vita (Saverio, pre-deceased) and in-laws Giuseppina (Quirico, pre-deceased), Pasqualina (Giuseppe, pre-deceased), Teresa (Cosimo, pre-deceased), Giuseppina (Giovanni), Lina (Donato), Carmela (Antonio) and all her nieces and nephews. As we mourn the loss of our beloved Palmina, let us celebrate the life that she lived and the heartfelt impact that she had on those around her. She will be remembered for the abundant love she had for her grand-children who she helped raise; they were her pride and joy.

elevated bbsw4 She lived in the constant joy and love of a large, close family: her daughters and sons-in-law, her grand-children and her brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews. Her loving bond will last forever. Palmina loved to be in her kitchen, preparing food for her family, maintaining Pugliese traditions with her pasta and bread-making, creating beautiful memories. She entertained and nurtured her family and grandchildren with one-of-kind wit and unique humour and energy: her hockey goal-keeping skills were legendary. She lived for her family, shared her passion, warmth and kindness to all and will be greatly missed; Palmina will live in our hearts forever.

elevated bbsw4 The family would like to thank the staff at Maple Health Centre, for Palmina’s exceptional care in her final years.
