elevated XtCA4 October 7, 1954 – March 21, 2024

elevated XtCA4 It is with deeply saddened hearts that we share the news that Paolo ‘Paul’ Monardo passed away on March 21st, 2024.

elevated XtCA4  Born October 7th, 1954 in Toronto to the late Rosa and Cesare Monardo. Survived by his cherished children, Rosanna, Danielle and Matthew; his partner Bonnie; his grandchildren Sienna and Liliana; his siblings, Steve and Anna, Salvatore and Rosa, Tony and Sharon, Frank and Maryangela and Anna and Santino; his son in laws, Sammy and Andrew.

elevated XtCA4 He was a sociable and charming man who found great happiness in making others laugh. As a great conversationalist, it was natural for Paul to meet people and find commonalities to relate to them. Paul connected easily with others through sharing his many stories and life experiences. Some of his favourite hobbies included: bike riding, gardening, Costco shopping visits, taking the dogs for a walk and watching endless hours of Impractical Jokers.

elevated XtCA4 He showed his affection for others by always being quick to offer a helping hand. Paul applied his tireless work ethic and his passions to support his loved ones. One of his greatest achievements was being a father and ensuring his children were always protected. He did this by guiding them and setting them up for success.

elevated XtCA4 Paul followed in his father’s footsteps, working in the construction industry for more than 40 years as a machine operator. Paul loved his role and took well-earned pride in his job, building relationships at his workplace and providing his expertise. No matter how he felt, he made working long hours look easy. Paul was always the hardest working man.

elevated XtCA4 In his spare time, he loved quiet moments playing on his iPad (aka the machine), working on his prized lush lawn, watching hockey and golf and listening and singing along to Classic Rock. His face lit up when he facetimed his daughter, Rosanna, his son in law, Sammy and his grandchildren in Australia. His mind was never far from planning and working on his next project with his daughter, Danielle. He beamed with pride whenever he got the opportunity to boast about his son Matthew’s many accomplishments.

elevated XtCA4 He will be dearly missed by his family and leaves behind an abundance of stories and memories that his family and friends will forever cherish. His passing will be deeply felt by many and his life will be joyously remembered and long celebrated by all who were fortunate enough to have shared in it.

elevated XtCA4 In lieu of flowers and in keeping with his wishes, the family would appreciate monetary donations which will be forwarded to the CLL (Chronic Lymphocyte Leukemia) Society. Please click the link if you wish to make a donation to the CLL  Society
