elevated cMZBP It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Paul Chan Chung on February 19, 2025 after a 20 year-long battle with cancer.
elevated cMZBP Born on September 13, 1943 in Mauritius, he studied in London, England and immigrated to Canada in 1979. He owned two bookstores in Ajax and Pickering and was known to remember every book and author on his shelves.
elevated cMZBP He is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Therese, his daughter Doreen and son-in-law Jimmy, his daughter Kim and son-in-law Patrick and proud Koung Koung to Kayla, Lauren and Evelyn. Caring brother to his siblings Annette, Aline (predeceased), Jean, Josiane (predeceased), Madeleine, Eddie, Arlette, James, Monique, Helen, Marie-Lise, Linda and many nieces and nephews.
elevated cMZBP He loved cooking and enjoyed family meals together, watching his favourite football team Manchester United, traveling, and getting to know everyone he came across. Most of all, he loved spending time with his granddaughters.
elevated cMZBP He will be deeply missed and our warm memories of him will be cherished always.

Paul was a precious blessing to so many people. Max and I will always remember Paul as our loving, cheerful and peaceful Paul. Kelly, Jason and William will always remember uncle Paul as a generous and kind uncle who has encouraged them to read and read.
