elevated bPiWg It is with deeply saddened hearts that we share the news that Reynaldo Santos Partoza passed away on March 26th, 2024, in the arms of his devoted wife in Mississauga.

Born January 23, 1942 in the Philippines to the late Irene and Faustino Partoza. He is survived and dearly missed by his wife of over 53 years Benedicta, his two precious daughters: Rebelyn and Erika, their in-laws: Paul, Tomasz and Kacie and adored grandchildren: Kyle, Lauren and Reynaldo Jr.  He now joins his late son, Reynold Partoza in heaven.  He was part of a family of 8 and issurvived by his brothers: Danilo and Proceso and his sister, Julieta.

Reynaldo was bestowed the natural gift of music.  He was a wonderful singer, self-taught skilled guitar player and notable dancer.  In fact, he serenaded and danced his way to the heart of his soulmate, Benedicta.  He and Benedicta joined in marriage, forging a bond of eternal love for one another as they embarked on a quest for a better life, out of poverty for themselves and their future family.

Reynaldo was an Electrical Engineer by trade.  He had a very extraordinary career, working in the frontiers of the emerging IT industry in the Philippines and Vietnam.  He also joined the United Nations Telecommunications team, restoringcommunication lines in war-torn countries like Egypt, Lebanon, and Israel.  He left his lucrative post in the UN to the safety and stability of Canada.  He continued to work in IT for CSG and Ontario Power Generation.

After a much-deserved retirement, he and his wife vowed to enjoy the fruits of their labour.  They enjoyed each other’s company, escaping the harsh Canadian winters to vacation in the warmer climates of Florida, Central America and South America.  They also fulfilled their dreams of travelling the world, going on multiple cruises, revisiting the Philippines, touring in Europe, and travelling across the US and Canada.

He will be dearly missed by his family.  His passion for life, his kenkoy-ness (humour), his banters, his wisdom and his life stories will be forever cherished by his family and friends. His passing will be deeply felt by many and his life will be joyously remembered and long celebrated by all who were fortunate enough to have shared in it.

In lieu of flowers and in keeping with his wishes, the family would appreciate monetary donations in honour of his memory to the Kidney Foundation of Canada.
